Need Help! How to investigate competitors advertising campaigns?

Hello,

Do anyone know how to investigate particular competitors advertising campaigns?

As far as I know there are many seo/adwords/market reasearch softwares to do that but it requires some time to learn. So i would prefer the easiest and straigh forward way/software/method IF any.

I'd like to know:

- Where they do advertising
- How much they spend on it.
- How effective such advertising methods (ROI)

Thanks in advance.

If you don't want to put the effort into learning it, which is HIGHLY recommended then outsource it. Some of the questions you are asking are unanswerable without THEIR figures and stats. There's no way of knowing how much money they made and invested, the only one which can be answered is where. I suggest you learn it yourself first so you can outsource it affectively later.

Some of the tools that I found straightforward are:

    1. SpyFu
    2. Compete.com

Those are the two that I have tested and they're fairly easy to use.

If you don't want to spend time to invest, then follow butters advice. It's better to outsource it.

  • Sign up with Follow Scout. It's a plugin and will give you competition data for any number of competitors, even on an ongoing basis, it's really an awesome tool that's still in beta and is currently free. Here's my referral link - FollowScout - it's not an affiliate link but I might get some brownie points somewhere down the line....or, if you prefer, here's the direct link - FollowScout

    Just use social engineering.

Call their marketing department and tell them you're a blog editor. And that you want to do an article about them.

Then, just ask where else they are advertising.
