Who are good Single Opt In Email Providers

Hello,

For one of our sites we now want to use a third party email service instead of sending emails out ourselves..

(We are trying to move it away from running our own mail server as we aren't happy with the email software we have been using.)

This list only has about 4,000 subscribers and they are all single opt in.

We don't really want to go down the road of trying to reconfirm all of these folks as one always loses a high percentage of them through lack of action etc.

Does anyone know of any single opt in email providers?

    Hi Sam,

    Don't assume that an autoresponder company that allows single opt-in lists to be built necessarily allows them to be imported. Nearly all the leading autoresponder companies allow single opt-in lists, from Aweber and GetResponse "downward". This isn't really your problem.

    Your potential problem is that you need to import an existing list into an autoresponder service. I suggest that you should approach both Aweber and GetResponse and ask them if they'll allow this list to be imported with/without sending a re-confirmation request (which, of course, you wouldn't want to do, as you rightly say) in the first instance. They may be willing to test a small section of the list first, and then decide. It depends on the circumstances.

    Some autoresponder services won't allow you to import an existing list like this at all, let alone without a re-confirmation request going out first.

    I may be wrong, but I'll be a little surprised if you can find one that agrees to what you want, here: it may be that a self-hosted solution is what you need (but that's what you're already doing?). Possibly buying something like Arpreach-3 might still help you, though, if it's just your exisiting software that you dislike?

    I hope someone has an answer to your question...I imported a list into Aweber and after sending out, only about 2% chose to opt-in again...(I had taken a break for several months and I'm sure that didn't help them to remember me) ):

      Well, you may need to give them mor time to check their email. They also may have just bypassed it along with however many more marketers they subscribe to.


      At least you know that 2% will be super responsive.

      Though it seems to be missing IM industry, it can be seen as under get rich quick schemes too. I dunno.

      Dotn want to find out by experience though.


      But the reason im looking around is for my new program which is on Trading, thus this will not do.


      Oh oh oh!! And the funny part is, i registered for a free account for under 1000 subs 1st, then i read the TOS, [if not i wouldnt have signed up in the 1st place] BUT the funny part is this. Their Welcome mail and login info mail [2 mails altogether] went to my spam.

        I'm amazed that there aren't more choices for importing single opt-ins.

        It's almost like one is stuck with using one email provider because moving to another provider often requires a confirmation email to rejoin, which can be a killer.

        Any other suggestions anyone?

          Effectively, this is absolutely right, Sam.

          It's one of the reasons why so many Warriors urge people "starting off" not to use a free autoresponder "to start off". This is one of the few things in internet marketing that really pays dividends if you get it right the first time.

          That said, there may be other self-hosted solutions which might work perfectly well for you and resolve your current software problems.

          I had no problem importing my list to Getresponse without having to reconfirm them.

          Just told them exactly how I'd built the list, and I had the .csv file which had all the details of each opt-in, including ip address they had opted in from, time and date etc. When you use a service like Aweber all this identifying info is all recorded with each opt-in, so not sure about the software you have been using.

          Have you even asked Getresponse before thinking it's not going to happen? Instead of going solely on opinions here, ask the ones who matter (i.e. Getresponse, Aweber or another provider which can answer your question directly).

          So, no, one is not stuck with one email provider. I was using Aweber, moved to Getresponse, and it was no problem at all. As I said I merely answered all the questions compliance asked me, and provided them with the .csv files of my different lists and it was all done.

          It's not a guarantee, but I think you're making it out to be a bit harder and impossible than it could be.

    You'll get the best response if you just use Gmail to send 1500 emails a day.

    If you need more... then use a service...

    But sending with gmail has a stellar read rate and CTR

    Group Mail allows you to mail out to your list: Free mass email software - bulk email software | GroupMail

    You can use Group Mail with STMP.com: SMTP Service Provider | SMTP Email Relay Server | SMTP |

      I have spoken to a groupmail rep in the past b4.

      They have stated, and on their web, u can see their price comparison, the autoresponder feature which i feel is important in follow up is only available on a business package, which is $349.95.

      Though it may be worth in the long run as it is a 1 time payment, i doubt many will be willing to fork out an initial sum like this.

    I think it's worthwhile for you to check out.

    In fact, we can even test a list before you sign up to see if it will have any issues being imported as a single optin. Contact our support team via our site for details on this. Or just PM me for details.

    Getresponse allowed me to import a list, but it wasn't that big.

    The best way to go would be to pick a few services you like and contact them asking about your list that you want to import.

    If you can prove to them that in fact you got these subscribers ethically (not a bought list or anything) then I'm sure they are willing to comply.

    Maybe you have logs or something that show when people subscribed.

    Asking goes a long way.
