How much should my blog be making per month?

Hello fellow warriors!

I have a social media niche blog that gets between 300k - 500k pageviews / month. Sometimes it will spike to 600k+, but has been holding steady around the 300k-400k for a year or so. Our Facebook page has over 200k likes for what that's worth.

We are making an ok amount on Adsense, have a couple of sponsors, but affiliate sales are non-existent after trying several different products. I think a lot of visitors use ad-block extensions, etc.

Any advice and monetization strategies would be greatly appreciated. We are making $$, but not nearly what I think we could be doing.

Thanks!

What exactly is the content of the site? Is it the latest news about the social media sites? How to set make backgrounds, cover photos? How to get more followers/fans?

There are a lot of different services out there based around social media and with that many visitors you should be able to make a lot of money. The key is finding out what those visitors want!

Please tell us a little bit more about the site so we can help more!

Find out with the single biggest problem is for your visitors and sell them the solution to that problem. You can run a quick survey, let them tell you what their problems are, take the common denominator and get to work!

Try to do list building and make a strong relation with your list by sending quality product ....

As you have a good traffic .... i think it wont be a problem ... just give some free ebook or anything depending on your niche and get optins ....

There's script that detects adblock and tells users to disable it in order to enter the website. I've never used such script tho, I have no review.
    Try this: http://adblockdetector.com/

Wow congrats on your success so far. Can you describe your site or show it to us? We can't really give you advice unless we know the niche etc.

You definitely need to know about your visitors and why they are there. Having a lot of visitors is great and all, but it's quality over quantity

Depends upon the ad position, size and color of the ads that you put on your website.

The issue with Social Media is a place where people hang out.
Not too ideal for monetizing profits.
You need to move them out of the social media platform to sell.
    1. Direct traffic to your salespage
    2. Build a list to add value to them.
Promote products after establishing relationship with them

How could anyone comment intelligently without seeing the blog?

Find out the problems of your visitors and offer them a solution. Start reading up on successful sales copies. Remember that it is all about the visitor. Stop thinking about what will make you money and start thinking about "If I was the visitor, what would I want".
Once you find a suitable product, get banner advertisements for it or just write great ad copies!

You just need to look at what all this traffic are looking for. Try and find some relevant products that are a good fit or even better create your own.

If they are using ad blocks, again if you have your own product and can make a specific page or offer that will help.

It is hard to say without knowing the niche, however if they are looking for a solution to a problem that is not solved upon visiting your site you have an opening for a product.
