Trademarked domains monetization

Hello everyone! I got 2 trademarked domain names that I bought through an offshore registrant (in order to avoid legal issues). They are iphone4-apple dot com & ted-the-movie dot com. How can I make money with them ? Any idea ? Thanks !

Alex has the right idea. Why look for trouble using trademarked names - pouring time and energy into something that can be yanked out from under you in a second and is illegal to boot.

I've got bad news for you ... an "offshore registrant" offers you diddly in legal protection in this situation.

Even more bad news ... buying domains without already having a gameplan for making money from them usually results in a waste of money.

Then it gets even better! You just bought two domains where one is an outdated phone model and the other was a mildly successful movie with limited profitability avenues.

My advice is to rethink your "strategy" and move on to something more productive.

Whenever you buy a domain name which ends with .com, it does not matter who your registrar is. It is controlled by the United States and can be seized by ICE. All your did was register your domain through a 3rd party who gives ICANN an 18 cent fee in return.

Also it depends on the company. For example Blizzard is known to be lenient on domain names that make money using their trademarks as long as you follow certain rules. Example Diablofans.com uses their trademark and makes money through ad revenue and Blizzard leaves them alone. If you do not follow their rules they will come after you.

Apple on the other hand is notorious for suing you into submission and making you beg for mercy. So is the movie industry.

So the choice is yours, if you do try, let use know the results.
