Since the individual is just starting out. Start writing good product reviews. Targeting low competition keywords. If you are patient enough you could be making that much when you hit 700 product reviews.

Only 50-70 with that many reviews on low competition products?!??! Since I don't backlink anymore, I expect a new written review to bring in on average 30-50 views per month. So the least I'd expect is 21,000!

To get to the point, with that many reviews I'd expect $200+ dollar days!

  • Here's what I did in 2005 and what I've been doing up until now:

    1. SPECIALIZED SKILLS =>> DEMAND =>> IRRESISTIBLE OFFER

I cold contacted a prominent software development corporation in Canada with a newly launched product and offered my tech content research and writing services. Corporations, especially those with more than 500++ employees, pay telecommuting subcontractors better than many other service buyers. Since they liked my sample materials, I signed up a trial subcontract with them, which turned into a long term subcontract. And:

    2. POSITIVE MEASURABLE RESULTS =>> BETTER CONTRACTS

Because they really liked the results that my work produced for their campaigns, they asked me to register a company, set up an office, source out, test, orient, train, manage and supervise my own group of employees, so that they can "lease" the services of these people under my wing. They paid upfront for a trial contract, which turned into a long term contract.

    3. PROVEN VALUE =>> MORE CONTRACTS

I then grew my company and signed up more corporate clients. I learned new things along the way, and the corporation above liked my traffic generation and content marketing ideas so much they asked me to improve their campaigns for their new product and implement the campaigns for them. They then asked me to hire more employees. My other corporate clients also asked me to hire more employees when they liked the results that our work was producing for their campaigns.

    • That's how I built a company from scratch, without any capital investment.
    • That's how I grew my company, in a few months, from a group of 4 work at home mom and dad workers, my wife and I included, into a firm with 2 head offices here in Manila, 9 provincial city offices across the Philippines, and 140 employees and subcontractors combined...
    • What I left out is:

I've been totally blind for more than 9 years now. I was 23 and had 0% eyesight when I did all the things above (still have 0% eyesight, because my condition is permanent, until there's an effective natural nerve regeneration or artificial vision system breakthrough).....

Two of my marketing students told me the stories below. Both started from zero - a minus actually (heavily in debt). Both were unemployed, kicked out of their homes, starving - the whole sad story.

One took about a year of desperate starvation (with little more than a computer on borrowed electricity, shacked up in a friend's home, eating for a borrowed $20 a week) before he made his first few dollars. Over 12 months with NO income. After that, however, he started pulling in 3- then 4- and now 5-figure monthly incomes.

The other one took only about three months, and was in the same dire situation. He too lived "on the street" or rather with various friends who would put him up. His problem was bigger still because he has a wife and kids, so shacking up with friends was always a problem. After 3 months, however, he too managed to eke out a living online, and a couple of months later, eventually to make 4- to 5-figure monthly incomes.

The first one tried all the free guru systems he could find. One after another failed him - in hindsight, mainly because he applied them wrongly - until after almost a year he tried Fiverr. He offered some keyword research services and within a couple of months was making around $100-$150 per week. By now he knew better how to "properly" apply some of the "guru" systems that failed him before and he complemented his incomes with some affiliate offers, bringing him another $50-$100 per month. Later still, he started offering online consulting services and that got him back on his feet, earning monthly between $2000 and $6000, depending on the month. He moved out from his friends' place and signed up for a number of paid courses, including some with personal guidance from the coaches, which is how we met. Today he's broken through $10,000 regular monthly incomes, and continues to grow. In his case, it took him over 2 years to get to this point. He no longer does any services and 95% of his incomes are generated through affiliate programs combined with traffic acquisition.

The second one spent about 2 months trying similar get-rich-quick systems and also failed. He also eventually tried Fiverr as well as eLance, Guru.com, eBay and other sites where you either offer your own services or sell stuff. His "real" breakthrough came in the 4th or 5th month when he broke Fiverr's terms of service and personally pitched a few of the clients who ordered some technical services from him. Because he performed them so well, he was "hired" to do bigger jobs, outside of Fiverr (which subsequently found out and banned him). He made over $10,000 that month, and another $15,000 the next month. After that, he too signed up for a bunch of much more expensive paid courses and systems and about a year later - today - he's pulling in over $20k per month, mainly doing services, but also having some semi-auto-pilot programs running and bringing in between $500 to $1500 per month. He's now beginning to dabble with traffic acquisition, which should allow him to relax a little bit - once he masters it.

Not sure if this answers your question directly, but hopefully it provides some real-world insights.

none are providing relevant answer. First, you need to know what is the profit margin of your product ? If the margin is $50 then you need one sales per day, if the margin is $0.50 then you need 100 sales. Second, you need to know how many traffic source that can bring you targeted traffic. Third, you must know what is the total number of visitors will land on your site. Conversion rate is about 1-2%. You can do your own maths. Hope this help.

I'd do what I did and do. I like writing for my own websites. Pick a niche I'm interested in. Publish great content. Start an e-mail list. Review and promote one or a select few products I really like for affiliate commissions. Get as much targeted traffic as possible. Continue building the site.

This method takes months to get off the ground, but once it's rolling it's great ... income continues climbing. I just like publishing websites and getting traffic and subscribers. That's my model and that's what I'd do if starting from scratch.

The first thing I would do is find a place a huge crowd gathers. Then find out what the majority of those people would pay for. Offer it to them.

I would have suggested drop shipping as it is a very profitable method, you just need to know the sources. I'll give you a good secret even though this may hurt my sales badly. So if you never heard of sites with daily deals their is one called 1saleday.com they have new items on sale every 24 hours and the discounts are amazing! I sell them on eBay for a bit higher price and I change the listing to 1 day through a script myself.

    tl;dr

    drop shipping

I suggest you write for textbroker, after spending quite a bit of money on trying to get some projects off of the ground, I decided I couldn't sepnd anymore before I made some, so I started writing for textbroker and using that money to fund my other projects. Not only did I make some money, but it made me more disciplined.

I've tested just about everything that you might check out from CPA to Affiliate marketing to info-product selling to ecommerce, YouTube, FB, etc.

In my humble opinion, the easiest AND most realistic way to get to your income goal is to sell on eBay / Amazon - but to do it right.

      Most people do it wrong.

The trick is to focus on high-demand, high-profit products so you make more in less time.

As you are building this business, you will be making money almost immediately and can then invest some time into learning some of these other "longer term" strategies.

I say "longer term" not to denigrate the other ways, but because everything has a learning curve (which takes time) and the easiest learning curve is eBay / Amazon.

Some decent answers..very inspiring Marx Vergel Melencio!

I have finally started bringing in some money. Because of responsibilities, I am limited in time...

I would suggest using YouTube videos to drive traffic to good affiliate offers, to your website is best...but offer value. I know a lot of people make a lot of money, but unless there is value there, I don't consider that to be "successful"...we are all in this thing together, so just making a buck without actually helping, or trying to help, by offering value... or even worse, screwing people over deliberately, is bound to end badly...sooner..or later.

    YMMV,

YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. are fantastic platforms to amplify your business. But it's dangerous to build your business around a property you don't own.

I agree, they are great as a traffic source, but think long term.

Invest time and money into a blog or website you own and control.

Product reviews (in any niche) is a great place to start.

    Change your focus.

You're thinking about how you can get a certain amount of money and trying to gather tactics that will help you get there.

None of the successful entrepreneurs I know think like that.

You want to make money, you either have to get a job or build a business.

A business needs to be based on what a specific group of people wants and is willing to pay for. Offer a product or service. Focus on how you can best provide this unique product or service to this particular crowd of people.
