Shall I set on fire? Amazon client list

Hello!

For those who sell on Amazon, what can be done with an extensive client list (apart from setting fire to it).

Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't provide the Buyers/clients' email but only their name and physical address.

NB: For those who have a sense of humour bypass, I am only joking when I talk about setting the list on fire.

I would be careful about thinking about sending some follow up to these people after they bought through your own Amazon link. I don't know if Amazon allows this or not. If you are going to send any other upsells through the mail or any other offers, I would check with Amazon's terms and service or rules if this is allowed or not.

Better to be safe then sorry.

I stand corrected! Amazon is a lot more strict with regard to these things, so you need to tread carefully.

Thank you very much for your detailed answer. Contrary to Ebay, Amazon doesn't provide buyers' emails, only their physical address. Do you suggest I send a card through the mail to invite them to a squeeze page?

        Thanks for your reply.

They do not supply the Buyers address. They only give you the shipping info, which may be different than the buyer's info.

The email address they do give you is unique to the buyer and doesn't change, but you are not supposed to use it for any other purpose than to contact the buyer about the order.

In general, you may contact a customer who has purchased from you on Amazon.com (Amazon.com customers) only to complete an order or to respond to a customer service inquiry. You may not contact customers in any way for marketing or promotional purposes (including via e-mail, physical mail, telephone, or otherwise).

If you send a permitted e-mail to an Amazon.com customer, your e-mail may not include any of the following:

          Links to any website
Seller logos if they contain or display a link to the seller's website
          Any marketing message or promotion
Any promotion for additional products or referral to third-party products or promotions

Do you mean "clients" as in "sell my own product on Amazon" or "sell through my affiliate link"?

In my view, when someone buys a product through an affiliate link - they are the "client" of the product seller...not the affiliate.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

            Hello!

I WOULD NOT contact buyers through Amazon. This will equate to "sudden death".

As I explained previously, I am selling physical goods on Amazon (NOT affiliate) and over the years I have accumulated a huge list of client's address. My initial query was "what can be done with this data"?

Well, if you had read what I quoted, you would see that you can't contact the buyer for any reason other than to talk about the order.

And again, they are not client address's. They are the address where the order was sent to, which isn't necessarily the buyer's address or even the buyer.

You'd be on shakey ground with Amazon if they they found out you'd done this. You should AVOID IMO.

OK. So I believe the answer to my initial query is "nothing" can be done with this huge list of customers
