A attempt to Promote my website with Squidoo

I have just created a lens to promote a product on my website. Please give it a quick look and please give recommendations, that would help..

Looks pretty good... you should change your bio to read something like "Hello, my name is ****, and I'm a kiteboarding enthusiast. As a kiteboarder, you must protect your eyes from the sun's rays, and..." you can make up the rest

Are you trying to get direct traffic from the Squidoo to your website? Or SEO benefits of the backlink? If it's the first, maybe there's a way to make your link more conspicuous?

Mainly direct traffic, though I added in my facebook group link too so a bit for backlinks. At the time of writing I wasnt trying to be to discrete about the store link as I figured writing a lens about sunglasses, its probably obvious that im promoting my site... I also only included one link, dont want to seem like im pushing sales - anyway that was my thoughts.

Very nice job, could use a few more modules of info and some extra links to your site.

You will get great results over time if you keep creating more like this one (gave it a ranking too) as it will no doubt rank better and get indexed etc etc over time.

Remember to keep refreshing and re-publishing it to get it pinged, and do a bit of internal squidoo networking to get some attention and comments as well.

What do you mean by internal squidoo networking, Ill have to explore the site im guessing they have a forum or something?

I got a ranking on google page 2! for keywords kitesurfing sunglasses, and the text in the search results reads:

Kiteboarding Sunglasses

Inexpensive "kitesurfing sunglasses" can be found at Kitejunkiee.com which cost $43AUD each (Approx $30USD) and come standard with their patented, ...

Hope it dont drop, guess it has to settle tho

Yep, go search in your dashboard section links for some 'Squidoo Groups' in your niche and start to join them, leave comments on sites, generally introduce yourself around, and invite others to review your squidoo lens/es.

It seems that Star Rating, Favourite-ing and Commenting seems to be the key to quick ranking internally with squidoo.

Do you think if I made a lens lets say on kiteboarding in general and wrote about everything possible (would be massive), and linked back to the sunglasses lens would this help or be no good to link to another of my own lens?

Absolutely what you should do!!

Create as many lenses on the subject as you can .. and use the Featured Lenses module to create the links to (and from) your sunglasses lens, as that makes them visually attractive and they are more inviting to readers.

Nice lens - definately keep updating and pinging it - you can ping it through SquidUtils.com I think it is.

Have you thought about finding another 3 or 4 keywords and basis more lenses around each keyword. Have all lenses linking to each other as well as linking to your site, then regularly update each lens.
