Something GoDaddy Does Well!

Godaddy's Premium DNS service is super easy to set up round robin dns and with an unlimited number of records per domain at just $2.99 per month they are the least expensive pure play NameServer provider I've found.

Typically this would be of limited use, but I see an opportunity where it could be beneficial, and the ability to give limited account access to an "Account Executive" on their site also is appealing in regards to this opportunity as hiring a VA to take care of a daily chore regarding this opportunity helps prevent an assistant from hijacking key accounts or causing long term damage to a brand.

Not that there aren't other ways to accomplish what I would need to accomplish with this plan of action, but I don't want to learn how to set up bind as a load balancer, or do any real work, so GoDaddy get's a thumbs up on this one from me.

They are cheaper than any other nameserver provider I've found, and yes you can get nameservers as part of your hosting, but again, learning how to do a special configuration in this instance, IS NOT WORTH MY TIME! I like easy!

Are there others, yup, but haven't found one as cheap, with the keyword "unlimited" records.

I'm wondering if I hit 20,000 A records for a domain that might not be tested?

They also have interesting commercials and cute girls. That, they do well.

I wouldnt touch Godaddy for either domain names or hosting with the proverbial bargepole. You cant run a decnet script on there and they dont have Cpanel. they are also known for holding your domain names hostage.

I have domain names registered with them nut only because I'm too tight to change them over to namecheap..

I said their premium DNS service is good. They are good at nameservers. Nothing to do with domain name registrar part of the business, and nothing to do with hosting.

When it comes to unlimited records for a domain, I haven't found an easier solution. There are other ones, but none easier.

You do realize that you're depending on their hosting and servers being up for the DNS to resolve correctly though right?

I've never had any issues personally with GoDaddy, worse thing that could happen is that they try to hold one of my domains hostage for a large fee. In that case, I would pay the fee, move it to another registrar, and then pursue the matter legally.
