know how to have the "submission successful" page show up within the site?

Right know I create a page within my wordpress blog to be the success page after an opt-in is successful...

The problem is that after submitting the info on the form, the confirm page comes up like this:

http://www.site.com/index.php/confir...88&site=submit

And after clicking the link in the confirmation email (which is successfully delivered), the confirmed page is:

http://www.site.com/index.php/confir...8&site=confirm

The pages do not display correctly. In the body they say "Sorry, no posts matched your criteria".

Does anyone know a way to get around this while still using wordpress?

Is it possible to have it open a new window with an html page if not? (to show it was successful)

Thanks!

You can create a "Static html Page" in your ordpress folder and redirect your autoresponder there. Include a link back to the hompage of your WP blog.

    Hope this helps

remove the option to pass subscriber details to the next page. It's heavy handed, but works.
    <input name="getpostdata" type="hidden" value="empty" />

I fought with this once so this is what you do.

when you are on the page where you create your capture page html at GetResponse, in the middle where it says Pass Subscriber Details, you want to check the radio box that says "Let me configure how subscriber information is passed to my pages".

Then some more options will be added below there and you want to choose "Dont' send subscriber information to my pages".

If you don't do this, GetResponse tries to append the information to the end of the url on the thank you page and WordPress throws up all over that. By removing that, you should be fine. You won't be able to do any custom programming with variables on the thank you page like saying "Thank you NAME for joining our list", but you probably aren't so you should be OK

You're funny Kayelex. I needed a laugh today and when you said, "WordPress throws up all over that", I had a good, loud laugh. Don't know why I found it so hilarious, but I did.

Wordpress likes to throw up over a lot of stuff.

I needed help with Getresponse and Wordpress too. This will help I hope.

    thanx

hmm - i just set it up on my site w/o any problems. i don't think you need to do anything fancy at all - just put the thank you page URL of your site as the thank you page in GR.

oh, and i used the "add text widget option" to add the form to the homepage sidebar in WP - that's an easy way to copy and paste your code that i haven't seen anyone mention.
