What should i review for amazon associates?

Hi,
I'm a newbie to amazon associates program. I know that writing reviews converts well, but i'm confused what to write about? Can anyone help me?
After all i can't review each and everything that i come across..this will only make the site look crappy and spammy. I want to stick to a particular niche. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Abhi

If you're doing the writing yourself and this is your first time doing this, definitely pick something that interests you so that it will hold your attention.

Some people pick high ticket items and some low ticket. It all depends on your niche really and what you actually want to review.

Choose a niche or sub niche and review

I'm just starting with some amazon proyects and after reading a lot I have decided to start with sub niche sites and later I'll see depending how the sub niche perform, but not saying sub niche is better, just how I'm starting with

The reason is I want to go with less competence and build a site soon to see results, and of course an small site will be ready sooner

    Hey Abhi,

You have sort of answered your own question.

I agree, you need to pick products that are HOT.

My advice is to pick a category and then check out the Google Adwords keyword tool and see how many people are searching for the product.

Even better is to check the news, ebay etc... and find HOT products that have just been released and build a site around them with some awesome content. Promote using the content of the site, web 2.0 and video and slide sites and add a few press releases in there and you should do well.

Ya, but there are so many HOT products...ranging from consumer electronics to cosmetics..i can't write about everything HOT..right? Should i stick to consumer electronics and review all the HOT products in this category? And secondly, when reviewing a product it's important that you are actually using that product..that makes a brilliant review..so my next problem is - i can't own everything that comes under electronics niche!! LOl..any suggestion? That's why i have put up this question...

I'd go for a niche that you have some interest in and not overly competitive.

As for reviewing products, you don't need to own the product, just find out as much information about it as possible through Amazon, user manuals, customer reviews, wall mart, the products own website etc.

        I understand.

Unfortunately there is no 100% way of picking a product and being SURE that it will be a winner. You can up the percentage though if you see what I mean?

Pick products that are "in", as I say, have a look at new releases, products that have shot up in popularity and the most popular of each category.

It DOES help if you own the product and have used it - however for any popular product there will be dozens of reviews, videos and information which is more than enough for you to construct your content from.

Think of yourself as a researcher that will help inform potential customers what the opinion of a product is.

I hope this helps - this is by no means a set in stone method - simply the way I do it and it works for me.

        Good Luck!

hey my friends , you need to convert visit in to sales ,so you required review about the product.

actually what it is?, what is for? , description , features, pros, cons, conclusion.

and you can compare the products also it.
so visitor wait for long on your site and read the review and visit the sales page through you link "visit website" , "click here" , "read more", "check the price" and many more.....sending visitors to sales page . you can put a youtube videos on you site so its easy to visitor just play and watch.

REVIEW -you know amazon , google shopping, ebay ,best buy and others have its own unique content you just pick a item and search on all places, you will get unique product review (not the product description) . check them which one is more effective.then you will understand WHAT IS REVIEW.

you just choose the niche that are good enough to attract buyers, choose niche wisely, then FOCUS ON "BUYER KEYWORD". wait 2 or 3 months and then start making money.

Focus on marketing Hobbyists peripherals for their passions and build a list of them. Then once you have a solid following re-market the higher ticket items to them. Best way to get into the party through the backdoor. Do the all the grunt work like Press Releases, Yahoo Answers, and Forums. Within a month you will be in business! And I agree with the other post that said pick something your into. Its important... You wont put the necessary work in if you don't have the interest in that market. You need to become your market- think like them, talk like them, and then become an authoritative figure for them!

  • I still personally find it hard to get significant traffic via forums for my reviews or specific products. It's easy for info products, self-help,how-to and so forth.. but product reviews, not so lucky so far

Look around your home for products you bought and love. Start there. You'll write the best reviews (and they're legit). Write to really help people make a buying decision.

One great review can earn thousands a month; hundreds of garbage reviews can earn zip. Go for quality. I buy products in my niches to try them before promoting. I chalk it up to a business expense (plus I get some cool stuff). Seriously, real reviews of stuff you use converts.

The real issue you have to decide on is whether to focus on one product in your niche as the "best" product or will you review tons of stuff in the niche. One approach that works very well for me is reviewing my top 3 products in the niche (I try many others, but don't publish reviews of them). I explain I've tried many products, and these are my top 3 with in-depth explanations why they are the best. I've created full sites on this concept and it works great.

What area do you have expertise in? Best to concentrate on one area. That way you can build up your rep. For example, if you are an expert on photography do a lot of camera reviews. These reviews will require images. Also, create some videos and put them on you tube with your opinions. People love seeing mini movies. Mostly, this is a way to get traffic back to your web pages. Remember to put links in the desc section with detailed information on the product that you are selling. Hey, it does mean some work on your part, but the commission is a proven winner. I get direct deposits from amazon. Yeah, the money goes right into my checking account. With sad sense you get a check via mail and have to drive to the bank to deposit it.

Write about products and niches that you actually know something about. Since you won't actually own every product you review, approach your reviews as a reporter. If you are familiar with the niche/products, you should be able to effectively compare features, models, etc and actually provide helpful info to your readers.

Abhi, my advice is to drill down into a niche that interests you, then look to specialize in one or two specific topics. In the early days it is best to go into one product type and stick to this and review all of the relevant products related to the niche.

An example - the fitness niche -> fitness equiment -> cardio training equipment -> elliptical trainers.

If you think like that and create an Amazon website that covers the best in the elliptical trainers, elliptical trainer news, elliptical training accessories, elliptical trainer cleaning tips, elliptical trainer warm up exercises and so on...

With that you have a lot you can cover within the scope of one Amazon review website. Pick something that interests you and expand upon the niche, products and really look to get into the shoppers minds. What are they looking for, what is the average prices for the products, what are their fears, why would they buy the item ...

In thinking like this you can really grow a website and keep yourself quite busy.

Go for the mix. For example in my last PLR WSO I targeted the photography niche because it combines high search volumes with high prices, but also has smaller Items like batteries etc. to promote.

For me a mix always works best.
