The best sales always happen when someone approaches you though. Make sure your whois info makes it easy for potential buyers to find you.

It depends on the quality of the domain name. I have quite a few domains listed at Sedo.com right now. They just sit there for sale until a prospective buyer finds it. That is the problem with domains however, They are very hard to sell if you can't get them in front of an end user. I emailed some peole I thought mighjt be interested after doing searches on Google but didn't sell any of them.

I also listed them for sale at Sedo.com and Snapnames.com Snapnames is good and you can list them all the way down to $5 or $10 whereas Sedo has a $60 min as a listing price. With Snapnames, people can buy it or you can let it cgo to auction. Same thing on Sedo, if it gets a bid, it can be listed in their auction.

You can park it for free at Sedo or Parked.com to see what kind of traffic it gets. It's interesting to see what gets traffic. I have only one site that makes a few bucks a month. None of my over 190 domains make any parking income other than a nickel hear and there. There are guys who have portfolios of domains with a lot of type in traffic that make huge money from just parking their portfolios and collect 6 figures from prking income. Not me though.

Afternic is another com[pany you'll see but they have a $60 minimum commission. Your domain sells for $75, they send you $15.

It will all come down to the appeal of your domain names to someone else. The post above lists good places to try to sell them and the fact that your Whois info should be current in case someone wants to contact you with an offer.

      Hope this helps a little.

Sitepoint is the most comprehensive place, however there are so many domains that sifting through all the posts is long and hard work.
