Affiliate marketer as a Vendor to Affiliates?

Suppose someone set up an online shopping mall or directory consisting of many affiliate links to many products. Would it make any sense for them to then set up as a vendor on an affiliate portal, like Commission Junction?

That is, would an affiliate marketer ever use other affiliates to promote them (assuming other affiliate markets were willing and able)?

What do you think?

    I mean, it depends if the original affiliate program would allow that, or if the other affiliate program would...check terms and conditions.

    I *doubt* this is possible because you don't own the products...the first affiliate program does.

    I've seen people do similar with small affiliate programs... but I've never seen that done with a large affiliate network which is what would really be needed to make a substantial income from it.
