Trouble with my squeeze page! Please help!

Hey!
So I am promoting a weight loss product, and the landing page I use is great.
But when someone with '@hotmail.com' signs up it goes to their JUNK
While someone with '@gmail.com' it goes to their inbox.
Why could that be?

It means hotmail are treating your messages as spam. This could be for a number of reasons. It could be some of the words used inside your message. It could be a url used inside your message. It could be that a number of hotmail users have marked your emails as spam and thus your email address is now marked as a spammer within Hotmail.

By the way, just because it goes the the spam folder of one Hotmail user doesn't necessarily mean it is doing the same for all Hotmail users. How have you tested this? You say it goes to the junk for all Hotmail users. How could you possibly know that though? How many Hotmail accounts have you actually tested?

    What email service are using?

I know aweber (and I think a few others) have a spam count that can help

There are also articles about what words or phrases to keep out of your message to avoid hitting spam

Weight loss had tons of them

But sometimes it ends up in spam either way

Agree with jamescanz... on aweber you have this spam count and will see if there might be a problem with your links or content....

If you use Aweber there is a "spam meter"

Once it is yellow, it means you email might be considered as spam.

Click on that yellow square and it will bring you to your email and let you know where the problem is. Meaning what makes the spam meter go up.

Yes,aweber have spam score , and I think Getresponse also have this feature..if your autoresponder haven't got it try not to write these words:

clicks here , act now , free, instant, buy ,call now, free gift, free offer, free info, make money, open now, take a look, read now, hot, amazing ,don't delete,credit,debt,...

There are a lot more. Here take a look : 200 Words That'll Land Your Email in the Spam Folder | BusinessNewsDaily.com

    Hope it helped

    Hi Faris,

We constantly have this problem with email responders nowadays. It is because regulations are now much stricter for spam mail.

BUT - The way around this is simple. Set up an SMTP with amazon SES or similar, and then send your mail through the amazon server. This way you have a much higher chance of not going into spam :-)
