What comes out, is what you put in

I keep reading thread after thread here ...

"Where can I get the cheapest..."
"Where can I get a free...."
"How can I get a discount on ...."
"Where can I find the cheapest..."

It's like everyone's looking for shortcuts.

Anyone asking these types of questions, have a think about it for a moment.

What you put in, is what comes out.

There's no way you can possibly expect to make money with this mindset.

It's much like saying ...

"I want to be a bodybuilder, but I don't want to lift weights"
"I want to build the Great Wall of China, but I only want to lay 2 bricks"
"I want the hottest fire, but I don't want to put any logs on it"

You get out what you put in.

Constantly chasing cheap and free is the best possible way to spend an eternity on the bottom.

Yeah that's true, I think the fact is, the majority of people who are looking to become successful online are the people who really have next to no money and in a way it's understandable if they do ask.

But the best way is to invest, money, hard work, determination and also giving up a bit of your social life like I have to do.

Starting an online business, is the cheapest business to get started in i think.

Sometimes it has less to do with mindsets and more to do with situations.

    The Cheapest...
As part of business, you're looking for the best option within your budget. If your budget is low, then you may have no choice but to accept a cheaper alternative, even if it means accepting certain downsides.

Once you have access to more funds, you can always go for the better option

    Free...
Sometimes you have such a small budget to work with, that you need to cut back as much as you can, even if it means going for a free alternative.

Yes, the free alternative may have some major downsides... but, you're doing it because it's necessary.

    Discounts...
I'd think that discounts are pretty normal in business, both online and offline. Why would you want to pay full price if you can get a discount for it?

Searching for free, cheap and discounts
If someone is searching for the free or cheap alternative, does that mean they have the wrong money mindset? Not necessarily.

Part of business is about getting the best price you can, working within your budget, making deals that's beneficial to your business and making business decisions after you know what your options are.

I think it's perfectly valid to search for free or cheap alternatives and discount offers. That way, you know what your options are and can move forward from there.

Yes, behind many of these types of inquiries is a lazy bum looking for a free ride, unwilling to back it up with a little sweat.

But there's a flip side to this as well. And it's research.

You may well be a clever, hard-working and intelligent person, looking for shortcuts - not necessarily to swallow each one hook line and sinker, but to be able to understand your market and its suppliers/customers.

And with that in mind, while perhaps only 1 in 10 is NOT a freeloader - it would be unadvisable to dismiss these types of inquiries as unworthy simply because of the way they phrase their questions

It's understandable to say "What's the best free or nearly free way to set up an affiliate/product creation/blog/etc.,etc. business?"

Not the questions that get asked here.

But the majority of them don't stick around anyway.

    Completely agree!

The worst we ever get is - 'where can I buy cheap seo'.

My answer - 'If it was that cheap or easy do you not think I would already be a millionaire sitting on a beach in Thailand?!'

    :-)
