Need help with Amazon API

I signed up to Amazon affiliate and there is an API section, AWS. Can someone show me how to use this? Is there a script I need to purchase to access their API? Or can I incorporate it to my current website in my signature? Truthfully, I don't understand how it works.

Thanks for your help in advance

In simple terms there is not other script to purchase from amazon. By signing up for api you get 2 different access keys that identify your affiliate account

If you set up an amazon affilite site using a 3rd party plugin you would enter your secret keys into the plugin

Not sure if i can mention them direct in the post. If you are using wordpress (Which I feel is the easiest way) there are so many plugin to choose from.

Search the warrior special offers section or google "amazon plugins". They are really simple to use.

            Ok,

if you log in to your amazon associates store and click on the astore link along the top,

follow the menu to build your store showing the categories etc you want.

            set your design

once you finish buildin click get link then check - Embed my store using an inline frame

copy the html code into the web page on your site you wish to use

            hope this helps

I hooked up wordpress and added api like you said. It's not what I am looking for. I was hoping to find a script that can function the whole amazon catalog through amazon api. Is this possible with the astore?

Amazon provides lots of Apis for all kinds of things, some you have to pay to use.

There is one specifically for affiliates which is free to use. The free api allows you to get a back product details for generating affiliate content that links to amazon. Basically you need to write or buy a script that uses this api I you want this kind if auto updating content on your site.

The advantage is the products, details, prices etc on your site are always current.

The disadvantage is the text you get back from the api is the same stuff as displayed on amazon's site. You can't expect much free search engine traffic as a result going direct to this content, but if you can drive your own traffic you are golden.
