Ideas to get guest bloggers for free?

Hello,

A long time ago, when the internet started I remember having a couple of websites about videogames (just for fun), and I started receiving emails from visitors wanting to wirte on my sites (mostly youngsters like me at that time).

I guess that somewhere these kind of people must still exist, I mean, people willing to write in a well established blog just for the sake of having people reading at what they write.

Is there any platform or site, to look for these people?
Any ideas about how to get them?
Im thinking in writing a post in my blog, inviting them to be part of the team.
(my blog is currently getting 1000+ uniques per day) however I still can't monetize it so I can't pay for posts yet...

Thanks!

You could to to people you know in your niche that are considered experts or well known and literally ask them if they would guest blog on your site. You may also go to forums geared toward the niche and ask any of those folks if they would be interested in joining you on your blog. A lot of times just plain asking the question is the best way to find out.

That's pretty much what sites like http://ezinearticles.com/ were designed
for. The writers have given blog owners like you the permission to publish
their articles in exchange for a link back to their own site.

Put up a page in the navigation that says "Guest Post". On that page write something saying that your blog is looking for writers and if they are interested they should contact you. Then insert a contact form.

That's what I do and about every couple weeks or so someone will write me asking if they can write on my blog. I have even converted a couple of these "Guest Posters" into part time writers on my blog. =)

I use MyBlogGuest.com for all my guest blogging needs. They have some good writers on there.

It's nearly impossible to get guest bloggers for free. Just because you don't pay them in "cash" doesn't mean they don't get something in return. What you should focus on is having something of value to give them instead of money for example traffic, a link, etc.

Hi Prodak! To answer your question guest blogging has not died. It's still strong.

True marketers will gravitate to post on your blog provided they know their posts will be seen and it will increase their web presence.

Depending on the content of the blog and how much traffic you're getting I may be interested in becoming a contributor as well
