Do Super affiliates usually create their 'own' email copy ? (even if swipe emails are given)

If you have ebooks on internet marketing, which have high converting sales pages, and are great resources, and super affiliates promote these,

then do super affiliates usually write their own email copy to promote these to their list?

Are you a super affiliate? who sends quality promotions to your list? do you mostly rewrite promos emails yourself?

or use the ones that the ebook owner has provided (considering they have provided you email swipes)

When I first got started with IM I just used pre-written swipes and bundled them to my list over a month or 2 promoting what ever offers I thought were good.

Now, I personally write swipes. I include honest reviews of a product, and I tell my list what to expect.

I am leaning a lot more towards treating my list with respect then when I first started with affiliate marketing.

Not sure what this "super" affiliate means tho...

But any good affiliate marketer will use OWN emails to list.

I'm not a 'super-affiliate' but I write my own unless theirs is really stellar.
Many times it isn't. Then again I also write copy for a living, so.

A good affiliate will always write their own emails -- yes.

Nothing worse than sending out copy that other people are using. It screams lazy.

The little effort it takes to write your own emails always pays off.

Well a super affiliate is someone who has been doing it for quite some time. You get to know how to write emails because you see so many emails and sales pages on a daily basis. You also know your own list much better than anyone else and should have already developed your own 'voice'. Thus using someone else's copy will not resonate with your list.

Having said that, do you actually think the swipe emails provided by most vendors are actually written by top copywriters? I don't think so. You'll find a lot of those swipes are written by just the product vendor themselves or someone else with no formal copywriting experience.

Yes most people use swipe for the angle or selling points but use their own language and touch. You don't need to be a copywriter. Just put some personality, useful info, excitement, etc into them and you will be fine. Watch how other successful people are doing it and learn from them but definitely use your own style.

I will write my own and then have a pro writer go over it. As Alexa Smith says, make it snap, crackle and pop lol.

I know I'm not the best writer but I do know what I want to say. In this industry its about being professional. Using the correct words to grab peoples attention and keep them engaged.

If you cant do this, no reason not to out source for it to be impelling for your readers.

Nobody can be perfect at everything. You need partners to make your business grow properly. Its working smart and effective.

Also if you genuinely like the product and can make that come across to your audience, you'll probably beat 9 out of every 10 canned swipes anyway.

Also I want to add something interesting to you.

Drop the whole "professional" vibe in your email swipes.

For one, it usually comes across as "fake" anyway to your list.

And second, people will relate a lot more to you, your offers and your emails if you actually talk to them like you are "one" of them.
And you are on the same page as them. Not above them.
Not some corporate B.S business man talk. Just be you in your emails and people will respond.

It depends on what "professional" means to you.

What it means to me is,

        Having correct grammar.
Using copy with psychology behind it.
Using words that people will automatically react to and will want to keep reading. If it is good enough, a few will take action before they finish reading. Understanding how people think/react with words. Even how the text can be laid out makes a big difference. Adding color makes it even better.

You still can build a relationship and make it personal.

Words can be very powerful to the human mind. This is why, if you cant do it you find someone that is a "professional" at it. This is far from being fake. This is working smarter and understanding how to market.

I write my own because I have my own voice and my list knows what I sound like. If I sent someone elses email, it would be obviously not me and I think it would not do as well.

I actually just this minute received a promotional email from someone who just sent out an affiliate offer. What this person did, and I've seen it happening quite a lot, is to take one of the better comments or reviews from the WSO thread and use it as their email copy. The only problem is this affiliate didn't even remove the guys name from the end of the comment.

    Talk about FAIL.

It just amazes me. Those sort of things are not going to do you any favors with your list. It would literally take any normal person 5 minutes to write up a simple and genuine email for an affiliate promotion. Are people really THAT lazy nowadays they can't even be bothered doing that?

Ah well. It makes it 10 times easier for the rest of us because we stick out like a sore thumb.

You don't need to be a super affiliate to write your own emails. I don't believe in email swipes (even if they might work for some people) and I will never use them. In my opinion, crafting your own message in a your personal unique tone will always perform better.
