Anyone else having problems with CL lately?

I've posted in the dealer section for several years with only minor hickups here and there. The last couple days it seems all of my ads are being flagged off even before they go live. They get flagged off within seconds of hitting submit. I've changed the ads, the IPs, the accounts pretty much everything and still having the same issues. Anyone else running into this or any ideas what's going on?

So much fraud going on on CL, who knows if they have automatic triggers that flags the post right away.

I noticed in some personal ads I used to place that if I put the words massage, or back rub...it would be flagged almost instantly.
Either a mod or software picking up those words, probably to keep the escort services, etc... out.
I would wait a few minutes and change the wording til I could find something that would work.
However, for daily posting for business that would really be an unprofitable pain in the *ss!
One thing, I notice so much spamming, the same ads listed 6 - 10 times.
Bad idea, they will flag not just your ads, but you and take down everything they can find that you touch eventually.
Not only that, it can be counterproductive. For example, I won't click on the ads that are spammed everywhere and I know a lot of others that won't either...so use discretion...get your ads out but don't pollute...
I noticed a while back when I was looking through the Warrior classifieds or for hire section.
Noticed someone advertising Craigslist posting services and an add on service was offering to flag competitors ads.
In my opinion that is BS, right up there with clicking on competitors ppc ads just to run their budget out.
But some people never figure that out, or at least not until they are rudely awakened by a dose of bad karma coming back to give them a kick in the pants!

Somewhere on the forum here though unfortunately I can't remember where a forum member said that they hire people that live in a local area to post ads for them and it works great.
So for instance I could live here in the Chicago area but put an ad out either in CL or in the classifieds elsewhere for someone in say Tampa or Los Angeles, or both, to post ads for me daily or 5 times a week or whatever works.
I could see this working well though a little bit of a management headache...
I'm still a Craigslist fan even though they can be a pain. I like it just as a great local and mostly free outlet to buy, sell, barter, meet people, and I think there is still an opportunity to market on Craigslist remotely but they are definitely actively discouraging it.

I had the same issue around Nov-Dec. last year. The most I could figure it had to do with random text in my ads. Once I removed those and started posting with just an image ad linking to a site or just a text ad with image attached via CL it stopped. I thought it was my accounts but that was not the case either. It happened after I hired someone to run a campaign but they used an Indian IP address to post to U.S. cities, after that all ads would instantly get flagged/deleted.

I can attest that you can still post to diff. cities without an issue as long as you have good proxies/IP's. They must be high anonymous. It usually isn't a website you are linking to, sometimes it is the specific image, I usually resave the image with a new name (not just change the file name) and that can help.

Sometimes posts are deleted because someone as flagged the ad you are running, most of the time its affiliate ads that are flagged.

I have always run my affiliate promotions through image ads and have never had a problem.

When i ran ads that were just a plain text link they were nearly always flagged or deleted.

I had also faced this quick flagging problem in by owner section. But in before I can also able to post multiple ads in by owner section using a single PVA.

But now a day I've noticed that it's allow 1 post for 1 PVA and rest of posting are being flagged. Also if I attempt to post multiple ads then my all of ads which is posted by the PVA all of are going flagged.

Any idea how to bypass this problem?

    Thanks

I too have been experiencing the problem of my ads getting flagged instantly. Its not someone flagging them. I mean it literally is flagged before it even goes live. So I'm thinking CL has made some changes that is detecting some ads although all my ads are image ads. I am going to be changing up my ads to see if there is a noticeable difference but man what a PITA.

I had that problem when I tried to change the wording on an ad for a pot and pan set that I was trying to sell n CL. The only conclusion is that I can come up with is that either everyone on CL is crazy or you somehow pissed someone off on CL and from what I've seen of CL that seems to be pretty easy to do as there seems to be a lot of very paranoid, whiny people on CL.

    That's just my opinion.

Try turning the message into a clickable image and alter the titles of your post. Be cautious on how often you post too. I have been able to post about 10 cities a day with no problems. I even can just click renew after 2 days with this method.

    Good luck.

How is it possible for people to post in more than one city? I'm curious because from what I've read on CL they do not allow people to post in more than one city. It's my understanding from reading their terms and conditions that if you post in more than one city your post will at least be taken down or that you could be banned from CL.

That was the way that I understood it to be.

I can post in several cities but you have to be careful how often you do in one day. Also I use HMA Pro to hide my ip address. I did realize the one ad that is getting flagged is a combination of images and text...all my other ads that are just image ads are not touched...so making that change.
