Hi guys, What`s the deal with the number 7? The price of everything sold online these days online ends in 7! $17, $47, $97, etc. Here in the UK, shops, markets, classified ads, all advertise prices in the 99 vein - £1.99, £99.99, £999. Is this pure psycology? (£999 is so much less than £1000), or is it the shape of those 9`s that people fall in love with? So, how did the 7 culture come about? was it developed with market research? Did someone just try it one day and it worked? What do you have in US offline outlets? 7`s or 99`s? |

Well the basically terminology for the .99 is because it, in fact, *looks* like a lower price. Granted if you were looking at two of the same car and one is priced at $14,999 and one is $15,000, you are going to buy the $14,999. Not because $1 is a huge deal but it catches your eye first. No idea about the $7 thing lol |
