Web Hosting - Negociable?

When you've been with the same web hosting company for almost 3yrs, when you're about to renew, can you get fidelity rebates? Negociate the price down?

I'm about to renew in a week...don't know why i didn't thought about it the past years, but was wondering if it was like a cell phone plan, which you can deal and lower your payments after each contracts...

    Every time I've asked my provider for a rate reduction I've got it.
    BUT... I've only asked after they have dropped their prices. I've been with one of my providers so long that I've received three rate reductions, I'm not getting it cheaper than others but I'm not paying more. This is for leased servers not shared hosting but I would think you host wants to keep your business, heck all they can say is no go for it.
