Hi, All
Does anyone know the best way to capture images off Amazon to use on your Amazon affiliate sites.

I never used to have a problem copying the images but now they have implemented this zoom feature its difficult to get a copy of the image off the site?

Any Ideas Please??

Thanks - Mark

Use screen capture program like Compact draw. Or google for 'screen capture software free'.

As soon as i open the images on Amazon.com they zoom and don't give me the option to save or right click.

I think i will have to try the screen capture option.

I thought someone might have figured out how to turn off the zooming feature on the Amazon site as its a real nuisance for affiliates.

        Thanks for your help

I wasn't sure if it worked the same way as OSX, but that's cool if it does.

That works to capture an area of the screen, but if you want to grab an exact image off a website. Hover over it, hold down the left mouse button and drag it onto the desktop and release. It will download the picture off the server.

Wow, that's simple, and worked for me.

        I learnt something new today.

    Hi Mark,

Just a suggestion (I haven't tried this at Amazon.)

    1. View the page source, and locate the page where the original image is stored.

    2. Cut /paste the image address into your browser.

    3. Right click, and save the original image.

Also, if you are using Windows (at least Vista, and above), they have a built-in 'Snipping Tool' to select and copy any part of a webpage. In the search box (click the Windows icon) type Snip, then select it from the list of programs.

Did you try 'dragging' the image to your desktop ? It might work.

Are you all working on Mac's? When i try to drag&drop the image it just marks all the text on the amazon site.
If i want to get the image of a product i reload the page (F5) and as soon as the image pops up i right click on it. Then i can save it. That happens because FF doesnt starts the javascript to zoom in until the complete page is loaded. Works for me..
