I have a question for blog flippers...

I have a few questions actually.

1- Could a blog hosted on blogger, that has its own domain, be flipped?

2- Does it have to make a certain amount per month to be worth selling?

3- Where are the best places to auction or sell your blog?

4- Thank you.

    1. May be. (No experience with it) But that would reduce the overall value of the blog. There was a time not too long ago when people were selling weebly sites for $75, but these can act only as fund raisers, not something long term.

    2. Not necessarily. X amount per month, with some history would increase the value to 5X-10X. If your blog is brand new, expect $50-$300 depending on how well it is done.

    3. Sitepoint, Digitalpoint for brand new ones. If you've some very very big ones, you may hire a private broker. Website Broker; Internet Business Brokers: Websites For Sale might help.

    4. Thank you too.

1- Firstly, no. As your blogger blog is probably attached to your Google Account and Google forbids the transfer of Google Account, you basically cannot transfer your blogger blog. However, I have heard so much of this "Blogger to Wordpress importer" and if you can do that, great but you will lose all your statistics (unless your statistics are dependent on your domain name).

2- No. If it's making money, that would put your blog in advantage among those that do not.

3- Digitalpoint forums and Sitepoint marketplace are best places to get started.

    4- You're welcome.

you've already got answers but I thought I would chime in.

    1. I wouldn't recommend that method, if you have paid for your own domain name why not use cheap hosting and use wordpress?

    2. For me yes. I don't like selling for peanuts but some people like doing that. Spend time proving income and if you can hold a site with a steady income for 6 mos + you can expect 12x monthly earnings or more.

    3. I mainly use sitepoint. I've heard digitalpoint or even ebay work for sites of lesser value. If you are working with sites in the 5-10K+ range you may want to start looking at brokers or at least make sure you go through a payment service like Escrow and never Paypal.
