New To Tumblr & Pinterest....

I am thinking to try out Tumblr & Pinterest.

With Tumblr I presume you just set up just the one blog per niche and add posts to frequently - is it mainly pictures you share and how could you really go about getting some traffic. Do you out a link under the images? I market an ebook.

Pinterest I gather is similar where you upload pictures and share - can I use royalty free pics that I have purchased and any other tips of how I could get images or just how I could utilise these platforms for marketing would be great.

Many Thanks

I would not suggest using royalty pictures on Pinterest. The best way to market on Pinterest starting out is buy repinning, following and commenting on pins that are relevant to your niche. Be sure you only do 25 repins, comments, and follows within a 24 hour period.

So to start out then I will need to set up a tumblr blog with a template and should I put up a post to begin with with?

I then comment on other pins. Does anyone get decent traffic by going this and how many comments do you do each day?

      thanks

With tumblr you can link your images to your website.. but your going to need followers to get the traffic.

Its like Twitter but with images and posts, the more people you follow the more people will follow you.

You want at least 10-20 posts a day on tumblr as people lose interest quickly in my own experience, 10-20 posts a day isnt hard as you can use the built in post schedule feature.

Do a search of your target keyword and start following people in your niche but no more than 200 a day the followers will come, every 4-5 days flush out the people who havent followed back.

Why only 25? I do far more than that on a daily basis and have never incurred a penalty...

To get tumblr followers, you would need to post consistently. You can add your ebook link to the click through link.
