How much should I list my site for?

I have a social exchange website, it currently has over 3,000 members, gains around 70-80 new members per day. The click stats are good on the site, banner impressions are huge per month.

I havent really tried to monetise the site, it has built in payments for coins and VIP etc, and there are more social networks in the backend that I have not activated yet.

All the traffic seems to be coming from social sites and word of mouth, and there is usually a constant 17-30 people online at any 1 time.

It has made a little money, around $160 last month and $43 so far this month. I think it would do better if I pushed. All members emails are on the backend and can be emailed at any time.

I got flippa to estimate a price and they said $14k and another site said $12k I cant see it being worth that much, even though I have been told membership sites can fetch $2 per member per month.

The site is Follow4Follow

Im wandering what people think I should put as a BIN price on flippa?

Thanks in advance

Decent traffic for a 2 month old site, so why are you selling it instead of building it up to be an authority? I can see it been worth 10x its estimated value if you continue at the pace you are.

Monetize it by selling credits like other sites do, and by selling advertising space.

Do you think these sites still make a decent amount? I set it up as a test project really, as I am more into CPA marketing and Facebook/IOS development.

      Thanks for your reply

Ive no experience as to how much they can make, but I am member on about 10x social traffic exchanges that all follow the same business model. I imagine they are making money looking at their Alexa rankings so I'd run with it for 6 months before selling it. You seem to be getting some traction, and where there is traffic, there is money.

I'd build it to be honest
Sell ad space, & expand it. You the e-mails you have to build your list.
    You can scale this!
I wouldn't sell it, but that's my opinion

You're usually going to get 10x monthly earnings...

You might get a little more since there are so many active members. Your best bet is to build it up and monetize it better. Those income numbers are a joke in comparison to the activity of your site. Get the numbers up! :-)

It seems to be growing well for you. Why would you want to sell it as the income potential is great? But if it is because of personal reason, you will want to sell 5 times to 10 times the amount of income that you are getting from the website.

That is already something if you earned $160 last and $40 so far this month.
You can already see that your site has a potential to generate money.
Well if you want to flip your site for some reasons it's up to you just make sure that you'll also earn the right amount of money when you flip it.

one thing for sure, do not advertise anything in the beginning of building a website, aren't you guys watch the social network? anyway, by the quick look of your website, I think you should not sell it. Your idea is not bad, and people would gladly try this new experience of social media. How about adding tumblr in your exchange site, many people from instagram would like to link up with tumblr I guess.

I'd get more real stats like how much money you make in paypal, as well as google analytics or some statcounters stat before listing on flippa. At the end of the day, buyers only care about the traffic and how much you make. Don't expect to let buyers to think how to monetize your traffic. They are lazy. Do the work for them, show them and you can make a decent sale of your site.
