Oprah.com... affiliate website??

For my first post here, I figured I would share something that had me in shock awhile back. Oprah's website is nothing but an affiliate marketing website. LOL

An almost thin one at that.. Yes, it has thousands of pages, but when I was doing some research on the home bar niche she was on the first page of google and so I clicked her link to see what's up. She had various pictures of supplies you would use in a home bar: shakers, spoons, etc. with tons of ads all around these simple pictures and a one liner describing said picture.

Unreal... and too think tons of lesser knowns get kicked out of google for much less. Millions of dollars floating around at that place... crazy!

      I was thinking the same, I don't see it as an affiliate site?

      If there are affiliate links on there, I'm sure its to help fund the site rather than being the primary income source. And why not.

    Pretty impressive website if you ask me. Just the amount of health articles alone are staggering.

    Note to self: find way to syndicate content on Oprah's website...

    She is hiring a Digital Marketing Coordinator & A Freelance Associate Producer, if anyone lives in Chicago...lol

      I didnt really dig through there a whole lot, but it did make me wonder how much of her "content" is just lame pictures with 10-12 ads all around it. Im sure it makes big money these days for her.

      I can see those 7 ads, and I hear what your saying. To me tho, any high traffic site should do this to help fund the running of the site. Most news sites operate this way too. I use AdBlock in my browser to stop all those ads anyway so they never get shown unless I want them to.
