What are the best ways to create an email list for my Qpricing website? It is a product search website. I am getting decent traffic on it, but I want to find ways to get more. I appreciate any help in advance.

Well you need a opt-in box first. Also a pop up with a discount or some kind of small incentive to get people to sign up.

Well if you want to get more sign up you would have to help by offering valuable content on your site. By putting a optin page offering something helpful for free, will definitely get more sign ups! Hope this helps!

Forgive me, I know nothing about emal lists or opt-in boxes. How do I get an opt-in box?

1st sign up with a auto-responder. Like Aweber or GVO there are MANY but those are what companies I use. An opt-in box is, to put simply, is the Name and Email box used to capture leads and build your list.

        Here is a wiki definition:
Opt-in email [1] is a term used when someone is given the option to receive "bulk" email, that is, email that is sent to many people at the same time. Typically, this is some sort of mailing list, newsletter, or advertising.

What you would do next after picking a company you would create a webform. It REALLY simple but you can easily hire someone to do it. After that is done place your opt-in box in plain site.

Is there a site that you admire or that is similar to your site that is successful you can think of that you can mimic? That will help with placement of your webform/optin box on your website.

Try and stay away from cheesy pop up boxes and weird free offers as a lot of people find these things annoying. The best way is to create unique valuable content so that visitors genuinely want to opt in. You will get a higher conversion rate this way as well. I'm currently building my list through user memberships.

If you're already getting traffic then you don't really have any problems

Just put an opt in form in the side bar or in the header section somewhere, or somewhere where it's not too intruding

Pop ups work ok as well just make sure you set them to only show once per month or something to every person otherwise it can get every annoying otherwise

Also link a separate squeeze page from within your nav bar, separate squeeze pages always convert higher than forms from within blogs 99.9% of the time

And of course you can either give away a valuable free gift from your site or just build a news letter but you will build your list way faster if you actually give away something of value

Yeah, I would agree with Paul that you need to create a separate squeeze page because it converts more.

Steps to set up your squeeze page:
First you need to have a autoresponder account like aweber, getresponse, etc.
Second, after you created a autoresponder account create your own Web Form and get the Web Form codes.
Third, create your own squeeze page design if you're not good at ask help from the experts.

Feel free to contact us if you need some assistance.

I suggest you to create a new squeeze page and build a list from that. You can add value to anyone who opt in your list with discount / OTO in certain product that is being displayed in your website. You can also write product review about product that sells nowadays and sell it to your list. For a further advice, you can try promoting Amazon product, the commission is not bad as I know that the product in your list is a top tier product.
