Ezinearticles Vs Goarticles

Hey people,
What have you experienced with these 2 article directories in terms of click thorugh rates. Which directory has been better in terms of CTR for you?

Also which directory do you guys think responds better for building backlinks to an article, to increase it up the rankings? Do you guys think an EZA article respond better to backlinks built towards them or vice versa?

Thanks guys.

I have found that hands down EZA is better both with backlinks as well as with generating traffic. However, they are also quite picky when it comes to article acceptance. I've used goarticles before in situations when I have content that I know won't make it through EZA.

EZA, hands down. GoArticles is good, too, but a distant 2nd (at best). I also like the results from SearchWarp and Buzzle. Those are my top 4. But I devote 90% of my article marketing time to EZA. If you choose the right keywords, you can sometimes score a top 10 ranking in Google in less than a week from an article sitting at EZA. That's power!

        hi dave
are you saying that the best way to build links in google is to post the exact same article to ALL those article directories at around the same time?
do you also recommend putting them on your own website unchanged at a later date? or a related blog etc?
i dont really understand how the duplicate penalty works - when i've tried article marketing i get a big boost in links at first then after a few weeks all the links start disappearing again rapidly.
from a 3 article series just on ezine i got 250 extra links, then a 5 articles series that i posted on my blog first then ezine didnt generate any links at all.
so confusing to try and figure how it works
        any advice most welcome

Articles submitted to ezine, in my experience, fade after starting out with a high ranking. To prevent this you need to build some backlinks. The duplicate content argument is an ongoing thing.

    Hey Maverick,

From my personal Experience, EZA is far
better then goarticles. Yes, EZA are picky when
it comes to submitting, but I believe that is
exactly why google loves them so much. They don't post
just any crap-they read through everything.

I have had success with ezines, but the thing is,
after posting 10 articles I was limited and can't post anymore.
    Why is that?

I also like AssociatedContent.com, but I agree that ezinearticles has worked the best for me so far in terms of driving traffic and sales.

EZA is number 1 by far. I always post to them first with my best content. Once accepted there, I post the same article with very few changes to the other directories mentioned in this thread. You may want to use different titles on the same article and submit to each of the top 4-5 directories. Then you could have a better chance of showing up several times on the same Google result for the same KW.

What competition are you looking for for your keywords? Do you have a system to determine if you can get your article to rank for the keyword?

I prefer goarticles.com and i have used them for quite a while but whichever one you use you have to think of the traffic that you bring back to that article not just the original hit it gets. Thats why on twitter for example i post my favourite article of the week and use an old one and bring it back to the attention of the readers and it will instantly add another 250 hits to it and that is without the original traffic or the bookmarking that it has received.

Here's a nice blog post I found on the top article directories. Of course, EZA is #1, but he also discusses a few more.

EZA is the first article site, Go articles comes after.

As for the bigmomma answer... You can submit your article to other articles BEFORE submitting them to EZA. There is no problem with this. I've done it and even contact them to know.

The only thing is that you need to be able to prove that you actually wrote those articles.

You don't have to submit your articles to EZA first. That is a misconception that they would have you believe.

As long as the content is your own, it doesn't matter if it is on 1,000 other pages.

If people believe they have to submit to EZA first (as you said above) then EZA gets all the SE love for your content. But it is not a rule of theirs that you have to submit to them first (like Buzzle). They just want you to think that.

This is from my own personal experience and the rule could change at any moment.

EZA is almost like the godfather of article marketing. I feel I have to appease them first by submitting there (although I guess this is not required based on above) and then I've always been told to rewrite and submit other places.

You need to test your articles on different directories to see which ones bring you the most traffic. Some directories are more suited for certain niches.

I've found that my articles on anxiety get much better results from SearchWarp than from EZA. That's because SearchWarp is looking (or was) for non-affiliate and non-business related content. Recently, they stated that they are looking for what I consider crap - namely, gossip, entertainment, that sort of thing. So I don't know how well my articles will do there in the future.

When posting your articles, here's one of the best approaches I've discovered.
      1. Write an original article and post it on your own site or blog.
      2. Rewrite it a bit and submit it to the 5 top ezine directories: EZA, GoArticles, ArticleDashboard, Ideamarketers, and Amazines (or any of the other high ranking article directories you find)
      3. Do another quick rewrite and submit that new version to 100s of other directories just for back links.
      Explanation:

By posting to your own site first with your first article, you will be constantly building truly original and unique content to attract visitors who won't find that material anywhere else.

The quality rewrite will please the top directories and their visitors who are actually there looking for valuable information.

The final rewritten articles most likely will not even be seen by anyone anyway since a majority of article directories are not as well visited or searched, but they can give you the numbers to build your back links.

EZA is the best for backlinks and traffic to your site. It's way more powerful than GoArticles.com but it is way more picky because it is review manually by real human.

I get way more traffic from EZA than GoArticles.

Overall I have found that Ezine articles is a better directory, however Go articles is much easier to get submitted too.

However the time it takes to have your articles accepted at Ezine articles is easily made up for in the amount of traffic you can receive from the articles.

The secret of article marketing is syndication. Create 1 article and get it posted in as many places as possible. Duplicate content doesn't matter... I would rather have a QUALITY article on 2,000 sites than have it on only 1 site... then simply build links to the strong sites that you might want SEO rankings for...

EzineArticles is the best to do that, for sure...

    Hey People,
thanks a lot for the replies. Also i am not talking about getting backlinks from EZA or Goarticles. I am talking about biulding backlinks to an article that i have written and submitted to one of these directories. I want you opinions on which directory responds better to backlinks being pointed to an article that i have written. I hope that makes it clearer.
None the less i really appreciate the replies

    Submit to Ezine.
Then use Articlepostrobot to re-blast the article to about 100 more sites.

If you have to choose one article directory you have to go with Ezine. I get amazing results in a very short period of time. I also use Goarticles and Articlebase, but I am starting to use Ezine almost exclusively now.
