Article Marketing Question

Hey guys,

I'm just getting into off-page SEO and I have a question regarding article marketing: When submitting articles to article directories, either manually or with a tool like Magic Submitter, do I have to submit completely unique, never-posted articles or can I use the articles I've already posted on my [respective keyword's] website?

Thanks for your help!

The SEO value of article directories has gone down quite a bit. Use article marketing the way it was intended to be used-as a branding platform. For link building, I'd focus on guest posts.

submitting manually will be the best, we can still fix the grammar error which often become the problem of submitting article. unique article is an obligatory, but we can rewrite it with different structure and work use. you should write your own article if you are the one who have the knowledge. hiring a freelance writer is also a good choice as they know better about SEO.

    Thanks for the info guys!

What exactly is a guest post and how do you go about submitting(?) them?

And I'm still a bit unsure in regards to my original question - When submitting my article to article directories, can I submit an article I've posted on my website or does the article have to be a never-before-been-posted one?

    Thanks again

Hi AtikM, I do off page SEO and when I submit my articles, I spin them using The Best Spinner which you can submit to different article directories

AtikM, you should submit to your own blog/website first. Then wait until it is indexed by Google and submit to a directory. Yes, 1, although if you want to submit to more, it's only time you're losing.

You will not get a backlink worth any of your time but you will get your article out there to be seen.

The idea is someone else comes along, reads it and decides to put it on their blog. You then get the backlink from their blog.

So, only submit once you've been indexed on your own site.

I always posted mine on my blog and then submitted it about 24 - 48 hours afterward. That way my site always took top billing when the engines brought up the article.

And - the important thing about submission is having people USE the articles. So you will gain more exposure - but you want your own site up there above anyone who posts it.

Yes, always use the article to your own blog/website first. Then, google the title of your article with the "your article title" in google search. If not listed, wait until so. Then you can spin it with bestspinner and manually submit it (must check grammar before submission).

Not recommend to resubmit your article to any directory without spinning as most directories only take unique and quality content.

      NO!

Spinning wrecks the whole point. Why do you think you have to submit to your own site first?!?!

Never spin an article ever, it's impossible to read and removes the entire point. Spinning is not only a waste of money, it's actually damaging for your business.

      NEVER SPIN.

The benefits of guest posts go well above and beyond that of link-building.

And article marketing to directories will most likely never solve the SEO conundrum… Either for your own website pages’ or for the article itself (in the directory).

And what’s up with the “best spinner"? Talk about a perfect example of an oxymoron (or just being moronic… :p)...

This was an interesting start to a thread. Article marketing isn't an SEO-based method, Atik: it's a traffic-generating method in its own right, that transcends SEO.

The latter. It would be a mistake, for all the reasons explained throughout this little thread, to submit to an article directory any articles which you hadn't already published and had indexed on your own site.

It's extremely unlikely that you'll gain anything extra by submitting them to more than one or two article directories.

Using mass/automated submission to article directories would also be a huge mistake, and one that could significantly damage your business because of Google's new over-optimization penalty, widely known as the "Penguin update".

But what will help you more than anything else is appreciating fully, first, how article directories work and what benefits they can and can't provide for your business (especially if you're asking in an SEO context, because article directory backlinks are of no benefit). This thread will help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

I strongly advise you not to use any automated submission software of the type you mentioned above ...
