Help with first product / Funnel setup

Question for those of you that have created your own products and hosted them with an affiliate network:

I have a basic funnel:

squeeze -> freebie -> OTO -> thank you

I have my own product hosted with JVzoo.

If I make an OTO sale, I lose control of my traffic. I need to direct buyers back into my funnel so they land on my "thank you" page.

I can't find a way to do this in JVzoo.

Also, for my affiliates I want a "buy" button just like the one I have as a vendor. I don't want affiliates sending traffic to my sales page, I want them to have a "buy" button on their own sales page, and I want them to be able to redirect traffic back into their own funnels after a sale.

I also can't find a way to do this with JVzoo.

If it isn't clear, I am using my own sales page, not a JVzoo page.

Does anyone know if these things can be done in JVzoo, or which affiliate network supports these features?

Thanks.

If it's a OTO for a freebie, then why not just use a Paypal buy button, and have them redirect to your thank your page after payment?

I like this idea, and I've thought of it but I'm not sure this helps me as far as affiliates go.

I wonder if I'm putting myself in the position that I would have to have my own affiliate script.

While I understand your funnel, what I don't understand is doesn't JVzoo track the affiliate sales being directed to your website?

Thus, if you do manage to get a OTO sale (after the freebie) the payment portal should offer you an option to redirect the buyer to the Thank-You page, no?

If they opt for the freebie, and refuse the OTO, then they redirect to the Thank-You page.

Again, I'm a bit confused, but I never used JVzoo either.

In the product page, its under a little heading "Thank You / Download Page".

That's your page, and you have control.

If you're wanting an upsell you put that page there, then have to control the logic as to whether the customer buys the upsell, or not, so they get the right downloads.

If you have one product, then you can't do upsells.

Squeeze redirects upon subscription to freebie. While on freebie page, you offer a OTO product...which is your main sales page or landing page.

If they choose the freebie, let them access it with a download link there. Then put the OTO link on the same (freebie) page they landed on after they opt-in.-Treat this freebie page like it's your salespage when subscribers land there to claim their free item, they will be shown a OTO.

Provided you have a button/link to the OTO... If they choose to buy, after payment received, redirect them to that download page, and include the freebie download link on that page also.

This way, only the people processed for payment receive the paid product. As far as the freebie goes, have your affiliates send traffic there with your buy button tracking their sales for those who do buy the upsell.

If you do it this way, you'll need one download page specifically for the freebie - You can host that download page without JVzoo.

On the second download page, the one for the OTO product and the freebie, you can use as your Thank-You page through JVzoo, as that is where the money product lives.

Obviously, your affiliates most likely won't send traffic to your squeeze, although I have seen it set up that way on rare occasion. Usually, you would have them send traffic to a salespage, so let that page contain the freebie & the OTO. Again, only paid buyers get through to the actual product.

so,the free product would not reside with jvzoo, but the paid product would be with Jvzoo.

One thing I see with this, is if your Free product and sales page for the OTO are on the same page, then when your JVZoo affiliates promote it, they will be sending them directly to the page that has the free item on it.

Good point. That's true, I think the REAL problem is the OP's inability to set the funnel 'pages' up properly. Hence, the mention in post #1 "lose control of my visitors"

He's complicating the affiliate tracking process, this is why you use a platform like JVzoo or CB, so you don't have to create an entire platform by scratch.

I think his mistake is actually in the manner he is assembling his pages, now that I've processed his funnel example in post #1

      Currently, the OP is thinking:

Squeeze -> Freebie -> OTO -> Thank You

      It should be:

Squeeze -> OTO -> Freebie -> Thank You

Kinda missed this the first time.

      Generally when presenting a OTO... it's done immediately after optin. OTO's usually include some powerful sales copy (i.e. headline, whats in it for me, etc...), a graphic image or video, and a "Buy Now Button" and also a small 'textural' link at the bottom of page reading;

"No Thanks, Let Me Acess My FREE 'Thingy' "

Now, subscribers (*Not affiliate driven traffic) have (2) options immediately after optin, Buy the OTO -or- "Click No Thank You Link" (as shown above) and be redirected accordingly.

The "FREEBIE" page should NEVER be entered into any affiliate platform at all, unless shared with the OTO as a sales page, as I initially suggested to make things easier. The FREEBIE page can be controlled by the OP on his/her website (via pages/extensions) and tracked with Google analytics or a page tracker like StatCounter. FREEBIE page has NO relation to the JVzoo affiliate platform.

Simply put, only (2) pages are going to be entered into JVzoo to track affiliates & their sales. (*see pages 2 and 5 below)

Now however, there needs to be (6) web pages created by the website owner: (Anomalous)

1.) Squeeze Page - *Self hosted only (Owners controls) -affiliates NEVER see
2.) Landing Page - *Self hosted & Used as Affiliate Landing Page (in JVzoo)
3.) Freebie Page - *Self Hosted only (Owner controls) - affiliates NEVER see
4.) Freebie Download - *Self hosted (Owner Controls) -affiliates NEVER see
5.) OTO Download Page - *Self Hosted & Used as Affiliate Thank-You Page (JVzoo) -
6.) OTO Download Page w/ NO Thank You Link - *Self hosted -(Owner Controls) affiliates NEVER see

      Summary:

JVzoo Affiliate Sales Funnel Set Up Summary

A.) Affiliates from JVzoo send traffic to Landing Page (page 2 shown above) - the official landing page for JVzoo affiliates

      Sale is made... (hopefully)

B.) Buyer is redirected to Thank-You Download Page (page 5 shown above) & now buyer receives Bonus Material they didn't even know about (i.e. FREEBIE just add link to page 4) below main download link -everyone's happy & Anomalous is a Rock Star who over-delivers (hopefully)

That's it for JVzoo affiliate pages! Tracking provided by JV, affiliates make sales, get paid, as does owner...Wah-Hoo win/win

Anomalous's website visitors... sale funnel scenario...

-Visitor hits Squeeze Page (page 1) - Subscribes for FREEBIE
-Redirects to OTO/No Thanks Page "w/options" (page 6)
-Option 1 - Visitor Buys Now (Wah-Hoo) -Redirects to...
-Thank-You Download Page (page 5) access link (page 4) call it Freebie/Bonus!
-Option 2 - Visitor Rejects OTO, redirects to (page 3)

      End of Story!

    Note:

    Above, I stated pages 3 and 4

    3.) Freebie page
    4.) Freebie Download page

Essentially, you could easily complete the freebie (pages 3 & 4) on one page with a 'download link' - so theoretically, you really only need 5 pages in total to satisfy both the Affiliate Sales Funnel, and to create a separate sales funnel on your website using a squeeze page.

*Optional: You may want to create another page worthy of consideration, and recommended for recruiting affiliates as an "affiliate tools" page, where you provide creatives (i.e. banners) and other publishing tools like pre-written emails, textural links, etc..

    -Art

    @alfa_375 - you're welcome

@Anomalous - While it would take some more effort, the detailed sales funnel (above) may help you, but I also just found this thread pertaining to adding a Pay Pal Button in JVzoo (*Which again, I don't use their platform) - this may bring some clarity to your dilemma: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...k-upsells.html
