hello guys.

I am not a successful marketer. But Today I want to tell you the real truth which can help a lot of people who are new here on warrior forum. Sorry for bad English as english is not my native tongue.

5 years ago, I started to know about internet. After I learned basic SEO and web design myself. So I created my own website and started offering web design service. But traffic was the main problem and after getting 4-5 good clients I quit that. After few days I started Internet marketing and created few websites but the problem was traffic so I only end up with 3-4 sales.

I was very disappointed at that time. So I figured out the reason behind my failure.

1. Never move from one business to another so quickly. Analyse the reasons of your failure in the business you are and try to improve your strategies.

2. Never read the emails of all the internet gurus. 99 % of these internet gurus are just here to sell their products and new people have no knowledge about that. I have purchased 7-8 products but that was waste of money.

So my suggestion is to stick with one thing and follow only one people whom you can trust and keep improving yourself in the business you are.

Glad that you get the picture.

I have only one mentor with one IM method.
    This serves me very well.

It is not always the more the merrier..
In fact, the more the messy it gets.

Well said situ. I too advice people's who are starting IM. Don't get too many ideas to work in the beginning. It will divert you. Stick with one thing & go ahead. Don't fall into "Information Overload". The most important thing is "Take Action".

Well what can I say, I believe we got many mentors but we just do not realise. Ask yourself or find out the definition of one a question what is a mentor, and you may find what I am saying making sense.

It's difficult to have one, because the same mentor of yours is the one who refer his partners to you, and in that way, I believe you are receiving their mentorship through him.

I think the thing to say is just say be careful how much and who you will choose to pay attention to.

I think this topic is debatable.

This is easier said than done I think.

It's as easy as you make it. Taking action is not a difficult thing to do, you just start small and build your way up until you've completed whatever you needed done.

Some trial and error is required, as there are so many methods out there now.

I totally agree with you. Stick with one mentor at a time is the best move.

Unfortunately, for many taking action is the more difficult thing to start. It might be because of fear, or because people want to get more education (or convince themselves that they NEED more education) or the Shiny Object Syndrome and before getting started on one thing they jump to the next.

But, realistically it can usually boil down to fear/anxiety -

    what if it doesn't work?
what if my spouse is right and I'm wasting my time?
what if no one buys my product?
what if I don't know what I'm talking about?
    what if . . . what if . . . what if. . .

Trouble with WHAT IF is that you never know unless you DO and it's the doing that creates the anxiety pushing you back to 'what if'.

Hmmm.... sounds like that was a road I once traveled!

and truth be told, most people have at one point or another. The trick is to get off that road as quickly as possible.

  • Yes, you should stick to one idea at a time. Or else, it can get messy for you.

First analyse what you need. Like how much you want to make in short term like next month.
Then, analyze how much time and money you are willing to fork out for such investment.
Finally, research about your liking of methods. Seo is not for everyone if you want fast result and you hate writing. You may be better off doing youtube marketing if you love video stuff etc.

Of course only get a mentor in your chosen method. NOt to get everything from everyone. YOu will get confused and not taking any action.

What I learnt during these years of my IM careers.

THere are some true mentors out there in their expertise. Although all of them ask for your money, but seldom expose every tricks to you in his method. You need to learn the basic from him, then take action yourself. If you expect you can MASTER youtube marketing in just 1 or 2 wso, you are too naive. No one will expose everything to you even you pay 5 figures for their coaching. Most gurus have their own 'tricks' or secrets that they keep for themselves.

Ya. you said right. Most gurus have their secret tricks which are not for their students. I have found many people but mark ling is the one whom I like the most. I have never tried his either of product but the info he has provided for free in affilorama is awesome.

Excellent advice - especially for newcomers and people who have yet to make their first dollar online.

Stick to one proven method - then replicate it until you find success. Then if you want try something else - or just expand on what is already working for you and earn more money

My best advice I'd like to add to this is when you get knocked down just keep getting back up. Why? because you are constantly learning from all of your victories and failures.

I'm sure you can attest to the fact that you have learned so much during your last 5 years, well just keep going and never give up.

Keep trying, testing, experimenting and if you keep at it you will over time be successful at whatever you are involved in.

    No doubt

It's all about having the right mindset. Don't let anyone get you down, believing you make it is key. Getting side-tracked is the main destroyer for lots of us, GET THAT FOCUS and you will do way better! But obviously, OP has figured this out already. Unfortunately some of us still need to learn the hard way.

Everyone needs to try different things, but after you found something you like and that works for you stick with it.

Doing many different things at one time just distracts you from the main way.

Its funny how people work for 15 years in a 9-5 job but want instant results when they become Internet Marketers. We all know there's no quick money in the real world - unless its dirty money - but all we want the moment we come online is dream of quick money.

We are so obsessed with quick money that we cannot just stick to one thing and see it through, we jump from opportunity to opportunity and we end up wasting time and achieving zero!

Good post this, reminds us all of the need to be realistic. Quick money and push-button-profits aren't real.
