How Many OTOs To String Together?

I'm putting together my sales funnel and I'm wondering, how many OTOs is a good number to put, back-to-back.

What are your thoughts.

Maximum 3 OTOs in this sequence
    1. Mid price
    2. High price
    3. Lowest price (can be a part of item 2)

    This works best for me.

I would suggest only 2 offers but as above, 3 might be a down sell.

If there are 3 separate offers people will get jaded by the funnel but as with everything you should run a split test to prove the maximum conversion.

Your focus should not be on the number of OTOs but on how much the OTOs will earn.

Some markets will get upset at more than one OTO. In these you will need to make your money on that offer.

In other niches you need to build commitment, in this case your OTOs steadily increase in value. You need the progression to get the person to buy the high price offer.

You need to get to know your market.

Talk to the people who are already selling into it. Ask what is successful for them.

My opinion is after your front end offer you should only have one more offer in the sequence. If they purchase the additional offer then that's it, let them access their purchase. If they don't purchase the second offer, show them a cheaper and more stripped back version of that offer as a final chance. If they don't want that either then give them access to their product.

You can definitely go over board with things. I think too many marketers make the mistake of thinking they need to jam pack their purchase funnel full of products. No, you can always sell products to those new customers within that first week after they have purchased. It doesn't all need to be done right away.

There's no answer to this question. The only thing you need to think about is the maximum amount the customer is willing to accept. You have to split test it and see just like infomercials do. Infomercials now offer a "free" second item with separate processing and handling. Why? Because customers accept it.

It's all about making the most amount of money while still having your product provide great value for the customer. You should read up on Kevin Harrington and see what he has to say about upsells and downsells. The "King" of direct selling will tell you the same thing. Whatever the customer will accept is what you take.
