Do you maybe get a fear of success?

I find that sometimes the closer I get to launching a site, the more fear I feel. I get very nervous. Like I can't keep working. Because I know the closer I'm getting the closer I'm getting to knowing the results. And if they're good that could be scarey as I've opened a new chapter of my life lets say building and running a new business. And if it's fails then that too is scarey as I don't want the disappointment of a project not working.

So what do you do???

you're damned if you do and your damned if you don't!

A lot of people are either afraid of success or afraid of failure, and some people are afraid of both success and failure at the same time.

Don't think about it, just do it. Every hurdle you overcome will bring you closer to your dreams.

i feel like everyone is like this when they first try somthing new. its normal, what i do is dont expect to much from somthing i have no control over, cause if i do and it doesnt turn out the way i expected i will be really disappointed. But if you expected little or just breaking even youll be really suprised when you end up getting more and wont be as shocked if it doesnt go as planed. Feel me?

Don't be afraid. The only people that see success are the ones that step out of their comfort zone! Remember that!

If you clearly define what success means to you then you shouldn't be afraid of it. Success to me was simply being able to stay home with my 3 year old and make enough to live comfortably. I've accomplished that. If I thought that in order to be successful I needed to have a 5 million dollar home and 3 Ferraris, I would have been pretty afraid.

Yes, this is the same as keeping a lottery ticket in your draw long after the winners have been announced. As soon as you go and check the ticket, the outcome is known and the dream is over. But so long as that ticket remains in your draw unchecked, you still keep the dream alive.

But you don't make any money doing this.

Get it launched. I would rather know if something is not successful sooner rather than later. That way I can improve on it or move on to something else.

A lot of people fear of opening a site. The main reason is that they think that they are not prepared and also they don't know whether is that site going to be profitable. My advice is just do it, if you failed this time, you can open another site again.

I feel ya man. My head is flooded with ideas every day that I feel could make some good profit. So I write the idea down on paper step by step to see if it still seems good to me and most of the time they still do. I outline everything when writing the idea down such as overview, plan of action, how to monetize, and if the profits would be worth my time and usually the idea still sounds killer although some don't after i read everything. I then search to see if its being done anywhere and alot of the time my idea is not being conducted (especially not locally). Then I keep thinking about the idea and start thinking that it would be just too easy to make money off the idea, which then makes me think there must be a flaw with my idea because surly someone else would already be doing the idea if it would really work and then inevitably I talk myself out of going through with it and put the plan on the back burner in the stack of all my other ideas, which is really starting to get pretty tall.

Its not really the fear of failure that stops me but the lack of confidence and the fear of putting good money after bad. I am my worst enemy when it comes to things like this. Instead of acting on the ideas I just keep plugging away with whats working for others with slight modifications every once in a while.

I have never shared any of my ideas with anyone out of fear that they would take it and run with and I would be left in the dust. I really need to find a trusted partner with more skill than me to bounce these ideas off and put then into action and start making some really nice profits. I have even seen a form of my idea out there (quite sometime after I wrote the idea down on paper and put in my stack of ideas) on occasion making somebody some nice profits. Dammit if I would only bite the bullet and take action on one of them, well maybe one day but until then I will keep doing what I am doing.

My advice would be to take action NOW! Its better to have regrets of failure, than to have regrets of not taking action and seeing others profit where you could be. I only wish I could take my on advice.

Wow, I really rambled on and kind of got off your thread topic. Sorry about that. Good Luck!

Doing anything is better than not doing. Although your plan is not perfect, don't fear to execute it. This is far better than than doing without a plan. So make sure to have a plan for online business. No Fear!

I fear more of not succeeding them never giving myself a chance to see if it will workout.

I think there will always be new goals and accomplishments for me even when I meet my main goals.

For example.. My current goal is to make a full time living online... say 40-60k a year.

Once I reach that I then may want to make 6 figures a year - or learn how to become a great public speaker to promote my business better.

Man I know just what you're talking about. At the end of the day, look in the mirror and tell yourself that "I Know what the hell I'm doing".

You can't fix the outside until you first fix the inside.

Search Youtube for some good positive affirmations and listen to those every single day. Before bed and when you wake up. It may sound like hogwash but I promise you this stuff works.

and JUST DO IT!! LOL.. That always works

The right way to say this is:
You are blessed if you do, and your damned if you don't!
No matter if you fail, doing something is BY FAR better than constantly doubting and sitting idle.

Find out what drives you and use it to your advantage.

Many have a fear of being poor or being homeless. Knowing what they fear drives them to super success.

On a personal level for me I realize if I'm not driven I will be poor with some idiot with less experience than myself offering advice or telling me what to do. While I suffer with no bank accounts, poor health care, and welfare living waiting on a government handout if that even still exists.

So, it's all a choice we make. I think it was Les Brown that said something to the effect of, you can die in the bleachers or die in the field so you might as well get on the field and have some fun.

Find out what Drives you and stay driven.

Another thing you may want to look at is Set Point Theory applied to your business and life. The theory is basically saying that we won't move beyond where our parents and environments took us and will even fight to stick with that programming.

That's why it's important to find out what Drives you and use that to be and stay super successful.
