1. Facebook Social Marketing
2. Adwords and Adcenter
3. Search Engine Optimization.
4. Retargetting campaign using Adroll
5. Email Marketing.

    PPC somehow works well too.

    It also depend on the niche/products your site is promoting.

      - Article, Social bookmarking, PDF directory submissions
      - PPC advertising
      - Social media (Facebook,Twitter & YouTube)
      - Email viral marketing (i.e. send an email to your current subscribers asking them to tell a friend about your site in exchange for a free gift).
      - Solo Ad Swaps or buying solo ads
