How much money have you spent on IM so far?

Hello!

Although I enjoy IM, so far it has been more of a hobby than a source of income.

How much have you "spent" on IM so far? (tutorials, courses, WSO....)

NB: I take note of the comments I have received and I have slightly changed my thread

If you are successfully doing IM then this thread is NOT for you. This thread is for people who have invested in IM but have yet to see a return.
Can't you see the irony in your question?

Your mindset is all completely wrong.

Your focus is still on "wasting" money.

Why aren't you asking who's earning money and follow some leads?

There's nothing to gain from asking who's with you on the negative boat other than more negativity to perpetuate a negative mindset.

Of course this thread is for successful IM'ers. That's the very information you seek!

Hm, what are you asking tho?

Surely you realize that there are some people who have spent hundreds, while others have spent thousands? How is hearing actual numbers from people going to be helpful or in any way relevant to you? Are you just curious?

By now you've heard that well over 95% of IM'ers have yet to make a single dollar online, so how many is 95%? If you do the math on that, = you're not alone.

Many would take issue with your choice of "waste" since its hard sometimes to not see all of the learning as edumacation, even the not so good stuff. The question is, why haven't you made income yet? Or did you already answer that in your original post?

Well, I am not a product seller so far. But still I will not say wasted because I have gain lots of knowledge and I really accept that if I give time to that knowledge then it could make me money for sure... But I just read and could nt implement because I am busy and making enough money from my other business

The fact that you used 'wasted' could be a sign that you haven't yet adapted the right mindset to becoming an actual entrepreneur

Why bother Beatrice into changing her question?

If she asks how much was wasted on IM why is that a bad or negative question? Some money is wasted, and some is used properly.

When I saw the question Beatrice my mind went immediately to $1100 that I WASTED...The reason I say wasted is because I did not get anything out of it except for an overpriced lesson. On the other hand there have been things I have paid for and while it did not bring in the money like the MARKTERS would have promised, I did learn some things that have helped.

For the exact reasons I identified.

        Thanks for your support Bro!

Judging by the "wrath" I received, I decided to change my question. The truth is I have wasted money on useless courses from "top gurus".

Ironically, the most useful guidance I have ever received was actually from people on this forum. I have started implementing their teaching and I wouldn't be surprised to see some money coming soon. I will keep you posted

          No "wrath" intended here.

It appears you're on the straight and narrow earning now though which is good to know.

The best thing I ever did was start spending money on LEARNING the IM trade.

I don't regret a penny I've spent on IM because everything that I've paid for has either given me some information I didn't have or taught me a lesson (even if a bad one) and I've then gone and acted on that information and improved my knowledge and experience.

It's only a waste if you spend money on stuff then don't learn anything from it or follow through on the advice you're given.

I really don't know, i have always been careful from the start.

I started with a little investment of $300 on my first website and reinvested the income i made from my affiliate sales..

It is always a good thing to invest in yourself. Even if the investment does not work out. This is the same no matter what you are involved in. I have purchased tools/test equipment etc. that did not do what it was supposed to. This is called LIFE! I have learned what to do - I have learned what not to do. Which lesson is more important??? Internet Marketing is the perfect platform to learn what YOU ARE MADE OF

Hmm... give or take about nearly £2,000 since I started. My biggest purchases were from Frank Kern and Steve Claytons products but they have been a huge learning curve for me. I have spent the last week going through everything I have had including the giveaways but the majority of the time I gain 1 new tip from the smaller products.

Every little helps I guess, but don't get into a habit of being the buyer too often. So many people don't take action on the things they buy which had been a mistake of mine for a few years but it happens to all of us! lol.

How do you manage to spend YEARS reading and thinking about getting involved with IM without actually getting involved? I'd get bored of just reading about all the money I COULD make IF I just took some action and either stop reading and take action or stop reading and just give up on the idea.

A ton of money. Much of it wasted, but the good investments more than made up for it. I have to tally my expenses shortly for taxes so I'll know exactly ... but it's a lot especially over the 4 years or so I've been doing this.

There's a reason the MMO niche is so lucrative and popular and that is because many of us buy again and again.

I don't regret a penny because I try avoiding regret and I had to invest in losers to find the winners.

Look at it this way. Suppose you invest in 10 IM info products/courses at an average cost of $200 each, spending a total of $2,000. 9 of them never earn you a nickel, but one of them sets you on a course to building a business that generates a full time income, that's still $2K well spent.

That said, it doesn't pay to keep on buying and buying. Once you have a biz plan in action and it works, you'll probably spend less and less except buying products that pertain to your model.

Over 10k on information and who knows how much including paid traffic and other expenses....

Best investments I've ever made though... even when I was just buying product after product but not marketing at all, im still thankful that I got involved in IM and dont regret spending money on useless info products because it helped me realize how to actually create a real business online.

If you want to spend money on IM, my recommendation is to get a mentor

What are you hoping to achieve by this thread?

As Daniel pointed out above, you are best to stop wasting your time focusing on things like this and instead focus on MAKING money.

I truly wonder why some people feel the need to be so "vitriolic". Have you had a bad day at work Dear?

If you took time to read the entire thread you would see that Daniel actually gave some encouraging words in his second post instead of "dripping acid" like you do:

Not much at all, instead I rather study the way they market to me and others and follow suit. These kinds of questions get you NO WHERE and are not constructive you end goal.

If you've spent a lot ask yourself what have you done with that knowledge that you've gained. It is so easy to get trapped in the learning stage and forget all about the taking action part which matters the most.

You'll quickly find out that it is a vicious cycle so easy to get into.

Yeah, I agree with the warriors that it will be better question to ask how much they have make money from the internet. I have personally spend a few thousands of dollars on attending live events and purchasing products online. It only came to my mind that I need to stay focus on following one system at a time then I start to get real results.
