Help me make a GAME PLAN for launching a website selling my beats (instrumentals)

So I'm a music producer making a website to start uploading beats because I feel like its one area I have an edge in (I can make good beats, and I know internet marketing).

Here's my "plan" so far:

1. Make profiles at Soundclick, Soundcloud, Rocbattle
-Open to more suggestions

2. Set up a website (assuming I should have an html5 player for mobile?)
-Should I use the myflashstore player?

3. Promote via Facebook, Twitter, Youtube
-Definitely need guidance on this part
-Should I target low comp long tail keywords?

4. Promote via keyword targeted articles
-Unsure as to which directory to start with (ezine, squidoo etc)

5. Possibly find a way to become a CB vendor to outsource? (heard about the guy from beats365.com doing it)
-Whats the best way to go about doing this?

I also would like to find a way to use email marketing and offline marketing in some ways. Basically I just need everyones help lol and I feel like making this thread will be the easiest way to get started.

I'll make a Journey thread once I get a hardcore action plan done.

Thanks in advance everyone

PS: I've seen people say $20 is normal for a lease (non exclusive rights) of a beat but I was thinking of doing some crazy promotion like 5 beats for $5 or something. Thoughts?

I guess you might want to include "Reverbnation" and "Datpiff" in your first step Please also note that you can purchase ads on most of these networks. It can be a great way to get targeted visitors to your site.

It is quite a big list of items to be done.
I suggest let's focus on the key items to start selling.
    1. You do not need CB to sell your products yet. I believe you are not running affiliates
A paypal account will do you just fine.
    2. A website will be good to showcase your product.
Don't be too ambition on this area. Start with a product page, About you page, Contact Page. Get things to kickstart.
    3. Making profiles at relevant niches is good.
    4. Join some relevant forums and start contributing to the sites.
    5. Use you-tube to showcase your products.
    6. Don't think you want to work on articles marketing. Not so relevant.

    Hope this helps.

You would be better off doing royalty free music and building a huge following.

Giving away a bunch of tracks royalty free would help you build a huge following because businesses, publishers, webmasters, etc. are always looking for music to use for their products where they have no fear of legal liability.

By giving away free music, you build a reputation and a huge audience. You get your music out there, and then you can offer package deals where the people that visit your website can perhaps download a higher quality, or maybe all your files in one easy package.

You can also promote premium tracks among your free ones, and if they get a bunch of ones they like, but fall in love with a premium track, they will be more likely to purchase it.

I agree with "RatRaceWatch", you can't really hope to sell music anymore just starting.

What you need to do is build your fanbase by making good music and uploading it to youtube, soundcloud, reverbnation, etc. Also try to chat/connect with people that already have a huge following and ask for a shot out. But don't just ask you really half to connect with the person.

Then once you have built your fanbase that loves you, you can start selling merchandise and getting more gigs.

I can actually help you a little bit more just send me a pm with your Skype or something.
