Using callouts on camtasia blurs videos?

I have Camtasia 7. When I make a video on my computer, it comes out crystal clear. But if I use callouts, to block things I don't want shown, the video comes out very blurry, and basically unusable.

I have read the instructions on using callouts, and think I am doing them properly. I have made several videos using callouts, and the results are always the same.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Glenn

I have had similar probs with Camtasia 7.
I had to go to a much higher and more expensive processor and machine.
Camtasia really needs all the processing speed it can get, as it is highly complex.
It is all worth it , in my opinion

I used callouts once, but it was a specific callout to blur things.
Are you sure you used the correct one?

      Hi Glen,

      You say ...
But if I use callouts, to block things I don't want shown, the video comes out very blurry, and basically unusable.
... so I guess you're using the 'Blur' callout. And the area of the blur can be adjusted if you manipulate the box that appears in the right hand screen.

The problem comes if the video moves, changing the position of what you want to hide. Then it's best to have a second blur callout taking over from the first one.

Hope this helps. If not, give us a bit more specific info.

      Warmest regards,

      Paul
