Lots of comments on my blog? Are they spam?

I have 10 comments today on my blog. All of them on different articles.

I have noticed that they are all from the same IP address. Web site stated is the same only the email is different.
They are not selling anything they are congratulating me on the good blog.
But they are all the same. Almost.

Is it some sort of spam backlinking?

    That sounds like fake comments meant only to post a link, probably made by a bot.

    yes that may be because they have backlink to there website ..that link is in name ...

    Still they congratulating you on the good blog ..but there are high chance of spam

    Yes, I'd bet that those are spam comments. Just simply delete / ignore them. However if your blog gets a daily thousands of traffic, then there might be a chance that those comments are real.

    But I highly doubt.

    Of course they are spam! I am pretty sure you are using Wordpress. You need to use Spam Blocking tools. There are plenty freely available around the net. Just search Google! I have my own site The Sattire Magazine - Where Everything Has Its Own Meaning! and had faced a similar problem before.

    Lots of Comments from same IP address. It clearly shows that someone is doing comment spamming. Don't approve off the topic comments on your blog otherwise this might decrease your SEO score.

      Use Akismet, A perfect one to prevent spamming. Also you can use any captcha plugin.

    Copy and paste the comment on Google to see if it was already posted elsewhere. I see spam get approved on blogs, because the blog owner fell for the ole okie doke

    Yes, people using blog finding programs find it and automatically post links and they hope your blog is unlocked to comments.

      Please consider taking action to stop it, rather than simply deleting it. I use and highly recommend "Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin" - it's free, and it works. All you have to do is take a few moments to apply for their API - this is a VERY effective free tool.

      Another tool, also free: ZBBlock - it's more effective (IMO) for PhPBBS sites, but it does work on Wordpress, too.
