I try and spend about 10% of my gross revenue on running my business. This is spent mostly on marketing and outsourcing. Since time is money the more I can make in the least amount of my personal time the happier I am.

I invest more of my profits into the business.
    Usually at least 50%.
What is important is to identify which source generate most sales.
I will scale up for that particularly.
Stop those that are not profiting.

Most of the Full time internet marketers have their budget and target goal each month and as per it, They plan their budget and expenses.

But if you ask me, Ia'm cool every month and doesn't plan any of my money as a budget or target. I just spend it on my daily needs of internet marketing and trying new methods so I don't prefer to have any budget every month!

In starting an online investment, we need monetary funds to help along the way. Yes, I would really recommend that you set a budget for your investment. In that case, you know where your limitations are. At the same time you know when to stop when you're not earning anymore because you will have to base your earnings on the principal rate you invested. No matter what type of internet marketing business you have, you don't want to end up being broke, right? It takes a lot of budgeting and analysis whether to invest big time on something or not.

When I first started, I allocate 20% of my monthly salary to invest in my internet business. Most of the budget is being used on marketing campaign that drive more people to my website so that I will be able to collect their details.

For me personally, I don't mind working in a full time job when I am just starting out as that job will provide me with the cash flow where I will be able to allocate a certain portion of into into building a long term internet business.

We know a proven economy theory that to gain a maximum profit, one must spend as little capital as possible and get a huge sales in the end. I think it is illogical, if someone want to gain a maximum profit, they must ready to invest a lot of money to keep up with the market and demand. SO, I spend more than 50% of my weekly revenue to buy the paid traffic for my site. Btw, I have a part time job, so it is kind of not fair for me talking like this, which might offend an Internet Marketer full timer.

It depends. If it's a new idea, I will plow 100% back to the business. Breaking even is my objective in the beginning. Then I will cut down to 50% when growth begins.

While you are in your initial stages of business, you don't know how much to spend and where to invest it. So for initial business people its like experimenting from their end, once they have find the best tactics, they will go ahead and invest there. And the percentage range depends upon how much you are earning and what your business needs might be.
