I've built sales funnels before and have tons of ebooks on them. None point out how to go from payment to list without going to an opt in form...

Most go -- offer; opt in ; oto; delivery. I want to build one that has the buyer go to oto without having to go to the opt in page first and where their email address gets a "confirm " email.

Sounds like you mean the integrated autoresponder (adds buyers to your list after they purchase automatically) then just using a single opt-in method, instead of double (where they have to confirm the email to be added)

Most sales platforms have this function built-in. Others you might need to set up yourself.

What platform are you trying to run on?

I think it can be done like this

Offer>OTO>Ready to buy > Optin Page> payment Page> other OTO's.

( not ready to buy)> Free offer with Optin!>other OTO> Download page.

I have created software that does that. You see, when you come back from PayPal after paying you land on a thank you page. Well, behind the scenes the application receives the ipn information from PayPal.

In that ipn message is everything about you and your purchase. This includes what you purchased, for how much, Your name, PayPal email address, mailing address and more.

The script or application processing your payment now inserts your name and PayPal email address into a hidden autoresponder form and submits your information to the autoresponder.

When you continue from the thank you page the script knows where to redirect you. It could be to an OTO, a download page or a registration page for some kind of membership.

With out this special software that collects the ipn information from the database you would have to have an opt-in form, which is in violation of PayPal's Terms of Service.

It does take special software to do this. Anyway, this is how the software I designed does what you are asking.

twister85 is completely wrong with that model... the whole point was NOT to have an optin page in the process. Too bad you don't read the posts carefully.

Yes, it is relatively easy to do it:
- for example Aweber has an option to add and email parser to the Paypal payment: as a result, the buyer's email address gets added automatically (behind the scenes) to my Aweber list;
- I guess getresponse must have some similar feature, too;
- a number of platforms used to sell wsos also have this "list integration" feature;

I know in Aweber, it's called Email Parser. They have a lot of different shopping carts they work with.

I use it with WishList Member plugin. When some one registers for my membership site, they are automatically added to my email list.
