Cheap Traffic Success!

Hi guys when i started in Internet Marketing i used Adwords to build my list (too expensive),after a while i was introduced to cheap traffic from a guy on the forum.

I did have some success with with the cheap traffic, the majority being Clicksense and Adfly in fact i even had around 9 paid members to a $37 a month affiliate program i was promoting and i built a list of nearly 1000 subscribers in a few weeks.

But the open rate became just about none existent.

Last week i deleted just about every subscriber i had leaving around 60 subscibers that actually open or buy the odd product from me.

I know that cheap traffic is regarded by most as junk traffic but do any of you guys use this kind of traffic and whats the secret of your success, if any ?

wow, congratulation! I don't know that adf.ly can make it that far. I used adf.ly once, but the result is not significance to mention. I think it depend on the niche, I know someone who succeed with adf.ly in dating niche, gaming niche, and making money online niche. I think everyone should try cheap traffic at least once to test the water. who knows that maybe they can repeat your success.

I guess it really does matter what you are offering and your sales copy when you are dealing with these traffic sources.

I've had one lucky sale on Clixsense and one on Adf.ly and that's about it.

My subscriber to sale conversion rate was around .1% which I guess isn't too bad for the price of the traffic, but I haven't seen a sale since.

I'd say this traffic might be good if you promote a blog post and they share and comment on it. This could generate SEO and referral traffic, building you a more targeted list that would be harder to achieve without that initial leverage.

I'd only suggest this strategy if you target the traffic by your country and use a filter page as well. The filter page would be like a squeeze page, but just getting the interested people to click over to your squeeze page.

Landing (filter) page > Squeeze page > Follow ups promoting core blog content > Launch a new product or do a heavy promo every so often.

Of course, this is all just theory and I haven't tested it myself. I'll probably just go buy a solo ad or two instead lol
