Have you tried elance? There are generally some good people in there as long as you check them out first. Also, you might have good luck just placing an ad on craigslist.

I have had excellent results with elance. I have had terrible results with odesk.

The way I found quality writers on elance was I posted a job asking for them to write 5 x 500 word articles using the 5 keywords I provided in the job description. I then hired 9 of the people that applied for the job based on feedback from previous work they had done on elance and their quoted price. Then from the 9 writers I was able to find 4 writers that were good enough that I now hire only them for writing work.

If you're willing to pay decent rates, contact university career departments related to your niche. You can post an ad and will likely receive a ton of applicants if you offer decent wages.

It depends on your budget.

If you want to spend $10, then it doesn't matter, it will all be the same unless you get lucky.

If you're willing to spend a bit more, then you can get something the writer will have actually spent a lot of time over, researched and delivered without any errors. They will also likely be qualified, at least as far as a freelance writer can be.

I think the best place to look would be on the forums or check craigslist. Beware of other forums such as digital point. A lot of people will pay for writing samples and then you will find out that the true quality is crap.

Why aren't people recommending the Warriors for Hire section in this forum? Plenty of great writers including myself hang around in there.

Because, tbh Laurence, those who comment here aren't interested in paying $30+ for an article or blog. They just want link juice, so end up going to Fiverr and getting some cheap, non-native writer to rustle up some link bait.

Too many people have the misconception that SEO is the be all and end all, when it should be a secondary concern for most.

I frequently using oDesk gig to write a trivial product review for my blog. I am promoting an Amazon product, so it is not too difficult to write, unlike virtual product. most of oDesk freelancer comes from developing country, so the cost is not too steep for most of us. Finding the right one is not easy, you have to test them and see what they can do first.

We need to outsource all of our writing needs to serve our clients .Tried almost all below

1. WarriorForum ( Copy)
2. DigitalForum (Article)
3. Elance (Product Review)
4. oDesk (Article)
5. rentacoder(when it was there) (Copy)
6. iWriter (Article, it is hard to know whether the writer from . writers should be verified. Had lost clients and money because of poor writing by a phillipino writer clamining a USA writer )
7. textbroker.com ( better so far)
8. WriterAccess ( just singed up for a project , their system seems to be smarter)

There are good writers in Warriors for Hire. The thing is that you will have to vet your writers and pay for a sample article to weed out the good from the bad. Also, you say "good price". You get better writers by paying better wages.

$1 per article... as a writer myself I know that for $1 you won't get good quality.
There will be mistakes made and then you'll be let down and have to fix the problem or have it redone. When looking to hire a writer, you want someone who can give you an article and there are NO mistakes or perhaps a few minor things YOU wish to change for whatever reason.

I have done few trial and error at Fiverr.com. I get number of good ones. I described what I would like to write and who the target audiences were. Initially I only choose the ones with good rank and from english speaking countries.

I have been using iwriter.com , have gotten some good articles from there and it's pretty cheap, and they check the article for duplciate content before-hand, good gig in my opinion.

iWriter.com is fairly decent and cheap. You will have to sift through a fair amount of crap if you open it up to all the writers on the site, however you can can narrow it down to only premium writers with good feedback, you can review all content before accepting it, it's checked with Copyscape for you automatically, and you only pay for the articles that you actually want.

Look on your own doorstep, your local college or university, many students are always broke and always looking for easy ways to earn some cash that will not interfere with their studies. If they are local you can meet them in person and check their language skills if necessary.

Good writers don't need what you have to offer.

That's flawed logic. I'm here because as a webmaster writing is, sometimes, one thing I can outsource. Therefore, I don't have to be a good writer (though I am) to be a webmaster. Conversely, the greatest writer in the world does not necessarily a webmaster make.

Additionally, not every writer wants to be a webmaster. Not even every article writer wants to be a book author.

I go to a mechanic to fix my car, but I don't think less of him if he doesn't own an auto dealership...

I like iwriter... Brad gives you the power to reject articles and give reasons why you reject them. Also you can buy different levels of article writers. You can pay the top fee and get a highly rated writer. Also he list the top writers and you can contact them to get your article written. I would say start their get some articles written for you and don't be afraid to reject the obvious crappy articles.
