$100 in a Week? Who can do it?

Okay, $100 in week sounds pretty easy, but...

If you had no list, no product and pretty much no marketing experience.... how would you do it.

I see so many posts from newbies wanting to know how to make $1000, $3000, $5000 a month and also so many posts about how easy it is to make $5000 + per month.

I want to know how you would generate just $100 in a week.

Most of those threads are made up by amateurs who are pulling numbers out of their nether region.

This small goal wouldn't be possible if you had no marketing experience. If you knew what you were doing or at least had an understanding of the sales process, then someone could easily make that benjamin. But if you don't know anything about the game, then it's time to start reading, and then start acting.

Also, I can think of at least 3 different business models one could utilize to achieve that goal relatively quickly depending on initial investment, skill, and a bit of luck.

You know, I wouldn't bother creating something that would earn $100 in its first week because it's never (IMHO) going to be scalable or earn much more than that.

I'd rather spend that week (and quite a few more after it) building something worthwhile that earns enough money to actually make a big difference.

Focusing on the short term like this is what you do when you're just playing at it, not when you're trying to build a better future which is going to require MUCH more than $100 per week.

    Cheers,

Thinking long term should always be the goal, but
when you have someone who may have recently
lost their job or have an unexpected expense come
up suddenly, this person don't have the luxury of
time on their side to plan for something long term.
      They need money now.

That being said, with zero marketing experience,
they will need some hand-holding to earn $100
in a week. I think Twitter may be their best
bet to earn money this quickly, but I would not
      guarantee that it will happen.

This sounds like you might be interested in doing freelance jobs for other people.
Check out sites like fiverr.com or elance.com.

Bear in mind that you would be merely working for others, and not developing your own business.

Every business IS working for other, if your a freelancer your working for your clients, if your a direct seller your working for your customers. No one is ever not working for someone.

$100 per week is easy as a freelancer if you have any marketable skill.

That's not true. If you own a business you work for your customers, that's true, but a business could have tens of thousands of customers. It's pretty hard to get fired by all of them at once. At a job, it's one boss.

If I had to make $100 in a week and I was starting with nothing I'd do everything I could to find someone looking to buy something (car, house, boat, whatever), then I'd match them up with a seller who is selling whatever they are looking for. Finders Fees are pretty much the easiest way to make quick cash that there is.

OK... If I had nothing at all, no sites, no pages, no experience and needed money bad...

I would sign up for a adult webcam affiliate program. I would then find a good picture to use as my avatar in all the forums I was about to visit. I would pretend to be a girl in these forums and chat with interested fellows. I would entice them into joining the webcam affiliate program so that we could have a 'private session'. You get the idea, the oldest profession on earth, your just pretending... Way more than 100 bucks a week if you work it hard, way way more...

If you know how to do something special or unique, then I would join Fiverr...Or learn affiliate marketing and join Clickbank.

Hmmmm.... Unless you have extraordinary people skills and know people/friends that will follow you then maybe it's possible.

Yeah, but if I needed $100 by this time next week to pay the rent, I'm sure I could find something offline that had a much better chance of producing it.

In fact, I would go so far as suggesting that a week spent online trying to generate $100 would be irresponsible in the "need money for food" context.

If this was for a contest or something I would start writing articles for people. Could probably grab 100$ by tomorrow. The thing is that marketing isn't about who can make the most money in a small period of time, starting with nothing. It can take years to build a relationship with a good amount of people. You won't become a millionaire overnight unless you hit the lottery, that's about it.

If you are looking for quick cash you can either sell something or offer a service. If you want passive income, spend a week building one website. Create a product and throw it on the website to build your email list then slap the website onto a Google Adwords campaign and see what happens. Eventually you will start to make some sales.

I can do it anytime.. Only after 3 years of trying/buying all the craps in the market.
I used to try more than 20 methods concurrently, getting poor results.
Now I only do 2 methods, achieving Great results..

Making $100 per week is definitely possible if you are a free lancer offering good services.

I actually agree with Mike. If you have some kind of skill or technical knowledge you'll be able to find an online gig that pays you at least hundred dollars. However, without any kind of experience and knowledge of SEO or marketing it is not going to be possible to make hundred dollars in a week. However, if it was 2006 and you had SeNuke then one blast probably could make you that much money if not more.

Is this a one-time, I need $100 a week from now to pay the rent, kind of thing?

If so, eBay or Craigslist. Find some stuff around the house that isn't needed and sell it. I've got more than enough clutter to generate $100 from, if I just made the effort to get it up and selling somewhere
