      Dude has says it all.

A large portion of your success depends on your marketing style, knowledge and application.

Any kind of product will sell so long as you have a good marketing skills. It's imperative anyway you create a product that solves problem people encounter day to day, it must be better than what others already have if you want to go viral and remain stable by frequent update and modification.

In the aspect of marketing, get as much traffic as you can from relevant areas like PPC, forums, social networking, videos, email marketing, SEO, JV, affiliate program for your sellers and more.

    Hey Sean

I have had success with two products.

The first was an eBook (73 pages) which I sold for £17 ($26) - I ranked for one keyword phrase in Google, and marketed it on one forum. I am on about 800 sales of that at the moment. (16 months of sales).

The second is a membership site which just built on that first eBook, so I added lots more content and value, tutorial video's. I didn't rank any keywords, and did no SEO, and no forum marketing. This went out exclusively to one affiliate, on sale twice to their list for just 2 days at a time in 2012, each time 100 sales were delivered (one time £67 $100 fee).

Total sales were just over £14,000 ($21k), and this was split 50/50 between me and my affiliate.

The one thing that runs through though, is that I actually do what is in the eBooks and courses myself. I know what I teach works. I believe in it. I believe it offers value, and both products have received a large amount of praise.

Because I have created these from scratch, using MY OWN methods and techniques, they are rock solid and I believe I can make an income from them for many years. The hard work has already been done, I now only need to edit them with 6 monthly updates.

I so think product creation is about believing in your own product, and putting as much in at as possible. I see too many of these BS WSO's 'create your own product in 10 minutes' - if you want to build a reputation and want to be know for quality, then you will need to spend time and energy on creating something great.

    Go do something today.

(PS - If you need some piece of inspiration today, take that quote out of your signature - it s a sure fire way to always accept defeat and put off success until tomorrow.) Grab success today.)

For 15 years I've sold software, ebooks, video training courses via DVD and downloads. Each month they sell without fail. I use a shopping cart system, PayPal and Kunaki to distribute.

The best advice i can give you is to write about a method that you implement yourself; follow romeo90's tip.
Alot of people are trying to make a quick buck through selling ebooks, and pretty much only earn their money from that ebook. They aren't always guru's about the topic they're selling and that will make the product less informative / instructive.

One year ago i wrote a 24 page long essay of how to manage a successful NeoBux account. Since Neobux is quite a harmless website where big money isn't really made unless you invest $30,000, i sold it at a mere $5.
I didn't even put up a website. I simply went on a forum where young kids who always wanted money for new games hung around, and wrote a thread with a PayHip link.
It sold at $5 in over 100 copies It's not alot but that gave me the starting cash i needed for the rest of my IM carreer.

My tip: Put alot of time and effort into the book, try to look at it through the customers point of view. Would you be satisfied? Also try to keep the salestalk in the book itself to a mere minimum. A 50 page book can easilly contain 40 pages of bullshit where the author is trying to tell you howmuch you can make.

I sell a couple of self-treatment ebooks in the health and fitness niche. Wrote both myself, after having a lot of experience in the field and doing some academic research on top of that. Took about six months to put the first one together (the second was much faster, but used large chunks of the first one that were re-purposed), so I agree with the comment above about forgetting the "ten-minute wonders" that are sometimes sold. Create quality, have faith in your products, and a little patience. if what you're selling is really good, the internet will find you soon enough.

I have created many products in many niches, it's all about creating a great offer that people want, then putting them through a process that encourages them to buy.

then add a nice high quality stream of traffic to the mix, and you have an income stream, add some backend, and some upsells and your set
