Youtube : What am I doing wrong? Please advice.

Hi All,

One week back I decided to tryout making money with Youtube. From start. Created a new account, then verified it with mobile. Created a new channel with custom user name. Then youtube account was again verified with mobile to lift Time limit and other constraints. Downloaded my Keyword related videos, uploaded again. 10 downloaded, then those 10 were uploaded, videos were kept private. Some showed copyrights, those were deleted, so suppose now 5 videos live in youtube (Private). Account doesn't show copyright strike. After 3-4 days. Title, tags, description optimized and video made public. Added old adsense account to current channel account. Videos were yet to monetize. Clicked monetize button for all videos, two were monitized at that instant and for three it should, yet to review. I deleted videos which were pending for monitization. Again reuploaded those three videos alone and then I didnot pressed monitize button for those 3 videos. I could see ads overlayed for two videos.

Current status for one video :-
Views - 4000+
Minutes watched - 11000+
Earnings - $0.00

Note:- I tried to check in a Remote US server, video in youtube have Overlayed Ad in it. Ideally I should have earned around $30-$40 . All views and visitors are legit. I have not yet started earning any money from Youtube. All I have is adsense of Websites, that have earnings.

Please advice why I am not able to see at least $0.01 in my account. This is pretty much what I did, if I have done anything wrong at any point of time, please let me know.

      Monetization in my Channel is already enabled by adding my adsense account. Status shown for Monetization is Green.

    Are the ads on your videos your own? Did you become a youtube partner? Youtube will ask you if you want to be a partner and then ask if they can put links onto your videos and then you link up your adsense account with them. Is this what you did?

      Hi wannabeaim,

      I did it in a different way. I created channel, uploaded video, then added my adsense account to this channel, then pressed monitize button for Video, under video it is shown monetized.
      How to know if I have become a partner, is there any way to check. Currently ads are there in my video, is there way to check if those ads are created for my ID?

      Currently in Youtube channel it is shown as

      Monetization - It is shown Green
      Account Status
      Your account is enabled

    Are you saying you stole videos that weren't your's?

          LMAO!! That just cracked me up..

          But yea I think what's going on is you think you found a way to outsmart YouTube when in fact, I believe they are on top of this stuff.

          now were all not saints. I've "stolen" a few videos in my day but I didn't even think about running adsense.. It may make a few bucks here and there but it's better to not even involve them. That makes them do more checking on your videos when they're paying you for them.

          My suggestion to you is if you're gonna take other people's videos, to at least do something to it to make it your own..

          but what I've found out in my own experience is that it takes longer to copy and edit other people's stuff than it does to just make your own....

          ...plus it's a lot more rewarding when you create your own.

            Also, YouTube has another option that lets you use (certain) copywritten material on your channel but it will put ads on there - you have no choice. The revenue from these ads goes to the original content creator and you are "allowed" to use that video. This usually happens when people use copywritten music. That might be happening to you as well.

    The fact that you're trying to profit off of copyrighted material may be the issue.

      Hi Rbtmarshall,

      If google finds any Video as copyrighted material, it will be displayed in channel itself, further ads will not be available in Video. Here the case is different. I have the ads getting populated in my video but no earnings.
