Affiliate List Building Followups

Hi there, I'm into the MMO niche and currently have 25 followups written to promote affiliate offers. If I wrote 3 followups about clickbank product A should all 3 followups be sent all back to back. Forinstance, monday, wednesday and friday.

Just say if I'm on message 20 and I decide I want to promote that clickbank product A again...should I move it in the 4th followup message or it doesn't matter if it is on the 20th message with the same product?

Thanks

What I have found useful for me personally is the first 5 emails will be high valuable information.

The 6th and 7th email will promote an affiliate product - while at the same time providing valuable information.

All 7 of these will be sent in a row.

After you first 7 messages you then want to send no less then 2 emails a week and no more then 5. This way you are in the minds of your prospects - but not bombarding them with constant information.

About every 4th email will be a promotional email to an affiliate offer - while the other 3 will be valuable information.

Repeat the process of 3 valuable emails followed up by promotional one.

I think offering the same product again shouldn't be a problem. The key though is to change your supporting email that comes with that product.

Maybe you can highlight a different aspect of the Internet Marketing that the product targets, or just change the whole verbiage.

Don't be too concerned about the timing as long as you space them out quite reasonably.

Test it, see which works best FOR YOU.

So long as you're not blatantly selling, and are helping, it's okay. So be mindful that a testimonial is a sales play, so maybe add some other useful information to it, so it's of interest to everyone?

It has been determined that it will take 5 to 7 contacts before a person will begin to know, like and trust you enough to make a purchase.

I believe it was Mark Joiner's testing when he was a big marketer back in the day that found this number.

That is why my first email series is usually a 7-day eCourse.

Different people do their email marketing differently. You might want to test out different variation of your own so that you will know the one that suits you. I personally give them a report where there are affiliate links in it.

On the 2nd day, I will remind them to download the report and then the other following email will be to remind them about the affiliate product that I am promoting.

Simple but it works for me

You are saying that you are up to the 20th message when you start to promote another clickbank product. At that stage of your journey, I would tell you to give an opportunity to buy the product inside the follow up messages that you are using.

Just make sure that the ads are not overbearing, and when you do finally bring out an all out sales message, they would already be that much more familiar with the product you are trying to sell.

I don't like the sell in follow up messages, I am not arguing they don't work because I know they do but I think it is more important to build some trust in your new sub first. I keep promotion of affiliate products in broadcast so all the emails from me are up to date and relevant.

The two are far from mutually exclusive.

I build as much trust as I possible can, first (before, while and after people subscribe), and I still have all my promotional messages as part of the autoresponder series. I use broadcasts as rarely as I can, for all the reasons explained here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7301227

Are each message valuable to the reader, or more valuable to you, trying to make some money?

If they're a clear sales ploy then they will turn people off no matter what order you put them in.

If they help people, then it won't matter what order you put them in. You really have to identify with who you are trying to help, and what they are trying to achieve.

again, should not be a problem as most people have to see the same info several times before they take action but variate your subject lines and message content so
its unique and you should do fine

The problem with promoting just affiliate products is that you don't know who has bought and who hasn't because you don't get the buyers

You are far better of creating your own little $5 product and selling that instead. Once you create a $5 and get used to selling it and making money then create another higher priced product for say $17 and add that to your funnel

Keep doing this until you have lots of products with different price points

This is where you efforts should be focused and not just on promoting affiliate products and also you will learn way more and also be building a much more stable business model rather than just hammering affiliate products all day long
