Passionate about marketing or passionate about your product?

I'm learning now that there seems to be two groups of IMers

one group believes in any thing that makes money and are passionate about the marketing side of things, the other group are passionate about the products and what they are teaching to make a direct difference in peoples lives.

how did you decide on your niche? Did you follow your passion or did you fall in love with the process and did any thing that makes money?

I know a lot of people in this industry, and only those that genuinely care and want to help people make money. They've been doing it for years.

Others that follow the quick "churn and burn" method, are here today, gone tomorrow.

    1. Be a marketer that makes lots of money but doesn't like what he does.
    2. Be a Marketer that like what he does but doesn't make much money.
    3. Be a Marketer that likes whats he does and makes lots of money doing it!

Which Marketer do you want to be?

I think it's important to embrace both concepts together.

A marketer that cares only about profit wouldn't go very far and a passionate Marketers without money wouldn't last long either.

Do and teach what you are passionate about. Think about how it may benefit and help the visitors that come to your site while at the same time make some money on the side.

I just fell in love with the idea of working at home.

I have noticed, however, that it's the third group that seems to be the most successful; those who are passionate about both marketing and their product.

The feeling of needing to contribute to something bigger than ourselves is one of the most powerful emotions that we can experience as people.

As info-entrepreneurs, we are one of the rare groups that can actually live this for our careers... If we choose to.

To be successful online is once again the 80/20 rule applies.

80% of your time should be spent marketing. 20% of your time should be in product creation.

It is the marketing that brings in the money but having your own products can bring in much more money because you can apply some different marketing strategies than when you don't have a product of your own.

Only 20% of your time should be spent on creating your own product because the product creation process does not make you one single dime.

Plus you need to learn to market because if you don't and you create your own product, how are you going to sell it if you don't know how to market. So, learning how to market must come first and then you can begin to develop your own product. This is the general rule and of course there are some exceptions.

    I hope this is helpful,

It will be cool to be in the category where the marketer is passionate about marketing and he is looking forward to helping his customers through his website. Yes it might seems to be extra work but I feel that the returns will be make it worthwhile.

Yes I think I am passionate about both. I am launching a new product soon and I am passionate about marketing it. I believe you get a lot of satisfaction from helping people.
