Hello Warriors,

Quick question for those of you that post articles to article directories. Do you post all of your blog posts on an article directory or just a percentage. I have a blog with over 100 articles but none of them are poste on any article directory. What percentage of articles on your blog post should be posted on article directories, 0%, 10%, 50%, 100%?

Personally I don't repeat any of my content. That's not to say the same subjects are not discussed in articles hosted in places other than my blog

    All the best

I submit 100% of the articles originally published and indexed on my own site to Ezine Articles, eventually, after all the other, more important things I do with them. It doesn't cost anything, and I do benefit from it. It would be silly for me not to.

(There'd be almost no point at all in my submitting them additionally to other article directories. I made that mistake for a year or so, earlier in my article marketing career, when I often submitted to 6-7 article directories. It was a waste of time doing so. It didn't help me at all, but it actually did my business a little bit of harm. I didn't understand it, at the time. I know better, now, and I don't make that mistake any more).

The important thing is to understand how article directories work and what benefits you can, and can't, get from them. This post will tell you that: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

As anyone making a living through article marketing will confirm for you, the essential mistake to avoid, for all the reasons explained throughout this little thread, is the submission of "unique" (i.e. not previously published) content to an article directory. That has no possible upside, compared with the better alternatives, but it can certainly, easily, cause you some problems. (And it's what most of the people here starting off threads with titles like "Is Article Marketing Dead?" have typically been doing wrong.)

Squidoo and HubPages are not (in any sense of the words) "article directories", of course.

Can't speak for the others but Hubpages is insistent on having only unique content. I don't have enough articles on there to be worth much so if I had a really good article I would put it on my blog instead (where it would ideally attract more traffic which, depending on how I had my monetizing set up, would earn me more money than hubpages.)

On a personal note: I'm thinking of using my hubpages account for random articles (that I don't have enough articles to sustain an actual "blog") and occasionally send folks over to my actual blog with small related articles. I think in the end more money will be made that way. It'll take a while, but I think the income streams will be more reliable too. Others have made similar comments on hubpages on the forums.

    YMMV of course!

      Squidoo is even more insistent.

Neither is an article directory: they serve totally different purposes from article directories - neither can even begin to fulfil the sole fuction of article directories, from the marketer's perspective.

I would first post the articles on your own site then ping it then wait for a day to 2 days to make sure that google has indexed it on your site then submit them to the article directories. You want google to give you some credit for having it first on your site after that feel free to submit them to the article directories. hope that helps

Keep it unique to your site, and make those posts the best, most useful content you have. If you do that, people will come to you anyway.

I don't bother with hubpages anymore, it's not worth the hassle.

Squidoo is similar, but as long as you follow their rules you're probably be okay. With that said Squidoo focuses on unique content, so don't reuse your site's articles because your lens or even all of your lenses might get locked once they realize this.

The thing about Squidoo is that they favor lenses that make them money (filled with their Ads that you get a % of). So either focuses on lenses like that or make a simple lenses with unique content pointing back to your site.

I never posted everything. I did a separate newsletter that NOTHING ever got posted from, and the blog sometimes is more an advertisement for a rock show or something and doesn't get posted, or sometimes it's general chatter or a trip report and I never submit those anywhere. If it's an actual formal article, sometimes I write those with the intentions of submitting them - so write one purposely to get grabbed by a lot of people (with credits, of course).

You can submit everything you do if you want - I just never found it necessary and never stuck to writing solely for submission.

I try to post all articles of a certain length from my blog to article directories.
First I will post to Ezine and then a few other directories such as Go Articles and ArticlesBase

To answer your question. Not all of my blog posts are articles, so, no I do not submit all my posts to ezinearticles (the only directory I use). Also, some articles I write on my blog/websites do not really fit the category of "Article" , therefore, I do not submit those either, you would have to be the judge as to which of your articles should be syndicated.
