squeeze page upload question

Hi,

I uploaded the index.html file via ftp but the squeeze page that shows up is unformatted. So i guess i will have to upload the images and other icons that are in the zip folder. My question is - how do you do this?how do you upload everything together?

unzip the folder first, then upload the contents

The zip file should have all the required supplemental images etc in a folder along with the CSS style sheet.

The zip file should contain something like:

    /images <- a folder holding all images
    file.css <- CSS style sheet
    salespage.html <- web page

Using FTP you should be able to simply upload the images folder and the contents will be copied with it.

OK, thanks. I think i have got it now.

Another thing. Is it necesaary to have these squeeze pages edited beofre uploadiing them , or can this be done by normal html editing once they are on the site?

And incase i want the title to have the keywords i am targeting, i change the index.html to xyz-kyword.html?

It can be edited on the site, but you would have a much easier time editing on your PC then re-uploading the edited file.

For quick edits making a change on your server is fine, but I think extensive editing should be done offline, not on a live server.

Edit: To change the Title you would edit the text in the HTML file between <title>...</title> tags in the <head> section.

If you are putting the page in your root dir and want it to be the default page, it should be named index.html.

        Guys

Just to throw one more question at this thread - Goonerpride seems to resolved the issue - I am going to stick some squeeze page in to current site but optimizepress (seems to be favoured) is a theme - do I need something different ? A plug in perhaps or as above could I put in current's sites folder?

search for "optimize press replaces theme" and see the resulting warrior forum thread that comes on Google . This issue has been resolved there.
