is this the right way to cloak links?

Hi,

My ebook is ready, and now i just have to cloak the links. So right now it's in MS word. Please let me know if there's any fault in what i am doing -

1. I have cloaked the affiliate link using a redirection tool and made it something like mydomainname/go/blah , where blah.kom is the main site to which the reader should go
2. In word, i type www.blah.kom, and then make it a hyperlink with the address as mydomainname/go/blah and text as www.blah.kom
is this right?

p.s : i am using"kom" here because something weird is happening when i type kom with c

thanks

You probably can't add links in your posts so that will be why you have problems adding .com

Yes that sound about right as far a simple cloaking/redirect goes.

As it is in your ebook why not use some better descriptive text as your anchor links rather than www.blah.com.

i.e. Download Your Software Here or some other call to action or tempting offer.

Yep, i will do that. Also, would you know the best way to convert this into pdf. Does a normal online converter suffice? and from where can i get a cover for the book ?
