        Hi Keinz,

If you're good at writing articles, why not try your hand in writing articles and getting paid upfront? There are many websites that pay you for writing. Some of them are:

        1. constant content
        2. 4writers
        3. Demandstudios
        4. Textbroker

There are many more too. Just google it and you'll find a lot of them.

Then, once you have the initial money, you can move to building a list. Then, once you have a list, which is sort of an insurance in this IM field, you can start blogging. That's what I do. Because, if you start with blogging, there are a lot of factors that you have to concentrate on, to get your blog to rank. And if it doesn't chances are that you may get demotivated.

But article marketing is still good, if you write atleast an article everyday and submit it to article directories. Because, these top article directories get every article of yours advertised initially. So, if you keep writing steadily, you'll find the traffic coming in from these directories daily.

First of all, the publishers you are contacting will know what you want.
If you feel the need, you can clarify it for them... They get good content,
and you get a link to your website. If they are not willing to do that,
they are just going to say "No" and you will say "Next!"

Now, if someone is publishing your content without giving credit and
breaking the agreement, just send the DMCA.

Although personally, I leave the little cockroach thieves to the worst
possible punishment: The consequences of their own actions. For
as long as they try to cheat, they will be broke and desperate, always
trying to stay one step ahead of Google and everyone else. Not my
problem, I'm busy actually making money.

Well, you can keep waiving your arms around on dry land,
but until you get in the water you'll never learn to swim.

I think you should do a forum search for "article marketing". This topic has been discussed to death on the forum and I'm sure if you look over the volumes of threads already in here about the subject you will find just what you need to know.

    Kenny,

First I think you should start using the word 'content' and not article. If you talk about article it limit you. But if you start seeing it as 'content' then you have more opportunity. Their is what is called 'content marketing' is its very big.

For example - if you write one article, you can multiplier that to several form of content. You can create powerpoint slide out of it and submit to slide sharing websites like slideshare.net. You can turn your slide to video that can be submitted to youtube and others. Only very few people know the power of that yet. You can turn your article to pdf or document and submit to pdf/doc directories. A lot you can do with content.

    Now to your question.

Sincerely, if you are just getting started and don't want to invest time and money into setting up your blog or website right - I will suggest you consider LAUNCH JACKING. Though it can get competitive because a lot of other marketers or warriors may be doing it too. And you can use your content in several form to promote other peoples product as affiliate including products already on clickbank.com

While creating a video on getting free traffic and sending it to affiliate product as a newbie I came across following just on slideshare.net alone:

I saw this slideshare about 20mins it was posted. And as at that time it already had 2,800 views. You can create something like it.

    slideshare.net/pingfresh/success-with-anthony-20

If you want to read more about power of slideshare.net - Check out two links bellow:

Tips from Top SlideShare Content Marketers

However, if you can afford setting up blog I think it's going to be better because with everything you do on you rblog - you are building asset you can flip anytime. And you can rely on 'content marketing' as a way of getting traffic.

Using your content you can do outreach marketing where you create hot and sharable content. Then leverage influencers in your market to spread your content.

I don't mean this rudely, but your current literacy level isn't good enough to write articles or to produce meaningful content that will engage your readers.

If you really want to try article writing you will need to learn to write proper sentences, using full stops and capital letters. Read newspapers, books, magazines. That's the best way of learning how to write. Practice, read some more. You can do it.

Remember - your posts are the only thing people here have to help them judge your writing skills.

I don't think you should be a writer too, I can hardly read your post without slowing my read speed first. Do you have another skill that you are good at, maybe design, drawing, programing or translating. And if you desperate to write article, learn how to write from a senior warrior member named Alexa Smith.

This. I'm afraid you'd need to outsource all the articles and maybe all the emails you'd also need to run an article marketing business.

No - those are not for article marketing at all. They're Web 2.0 sites.

Those comments are all made by people who mistakenly imagine that article directories can/could/might be used to drive traffic, or for backlinks. For those purposes, they're of no help at all (and no article marketer who understands how they work would want to get potential customers coming to his own site from an article directory, anyway).

If it helps, here's a one-post overview of how article marketing works.

And here's a little summary of how article directories work.

I don't think it's a suitable business model for you, Kenny.

(You've perhaps moved, recently? You give your location as UK, but in earlier threads have said that you're in Nigeria?)

Learning to write articles is "easy" but learning to write well,
so that readers will enjoy your work, can be a real challenge!
There is also the option of writing for native Nigerians...
I don't know much about your country, but I know at least
a few of them are on the Internet!! :p

Of course, if you are at least capable of writing in an entertaining
and informative way, then you could always hire an editor to
correct and polish your work. This might mean you have
a bit of a slower start, but if you can pump out just two or three
good articles per week you should be able to make up for that.
